Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska announced Friday that she would step down by the end of the month and not seek a second term as governor, fueling speculation that she is seriously weighing whether to seek the Republican nomination for president in 2012.

It's been requested that I also post the text…

Frankenvote
As Americans, we have pride in things that make us what we are. One of those things are us bragging about our having the most free and fair elections in the world. We offer to stick our noses into other countries’ counts because we always get it right… or do we?

On Tuesday, the Minnesota Supreme Court awarded the United States Senate seat to former comedian-Air America talk show host, Democrat Al Franken over the Republican incumbent Norm Coleman.

Now, let me open an old wound to set up my point.

In 2000, George W. Bush won the presidential election, but as the count was close, Al Gore’s team picked Florida as the place to go to war. Despite successfully having the absentee votes of hundreds of soldiers overseas tossed out, a selective recount in a heavily Democrat district, George W. Bush still won.

A point never recited by the “Bush stole the election” crowd was that over a dozen independent news agencies also monitored and (in some cases) recounted those ballots and Bush was still victorious. If only ONE news agency found a Gore win, don’t you think we would’ve heard about it?

I think so.

But to this day, the liberals still whine about “2000” as a stolen election. We’ll if what happened to Norm Coleman happened to Al Gore, I’d say they would’ve had a case, of course the left is gloating today because, like the spoiled children they are, they got their way this time.

When the vote was counted November fourth, Norm Coleman had a 725-vote lead over Al Franken. After the Democrats got to mess with things, toss out overseas absentee ballots again, and a few more recounts, Al Franken had a 312-vote lead that was certified by the Minnesota Supremes.

With that, I’ll make my points.

First, to our men and women overseas, let’s be real. The Democrat Party may indeed care about your safety and welfare, but they sure could give a damn about your vote as they routinely do everything possible to toss them out when necessary.

Second, between ACORN illegally padding voter registration with phantom Democrats, and now finding votes in Minnesota that weren’t there before, the Democrat Party should be the last people screaming about stolen elections and count-every-vote as they seem to be getting pretty good at one and aren’t very good about the other.

Lastly, I only think it logical that the integrity of our whole election system should be called into question.

How you can have a one thousand point swing from the first count to the last recount, means either that count can be easily manipulated to a desired outcome, or it wasn’t done properly in the first place.

Think about it. While the left declares Barack Obama has this huge mandate, he only won with 53% of the vote… or did he?

He wrote important soundtracks, and worked with the industry's best musicians, singers, and writers. But after some of the things he's said about a man who made him relevant again, and who isn't even in the dirt yet, Mr. Jones had better hope there isn't any ready to be dug up on him.

You were there to witness the strange evolution in Michael’s appearance. Did you ever step in and saying anything about it?
Oh, we talked about it all the time. But he’d come up with, “Man, I promise you I have this disease,” and so forth, and “I have a blister on my lungs,” and all that kind of b.s. It’s hard, because Michael’s a Virgo, man—he’s very set in his ways. You can’t talk him out of it. Chemical peels and all that stuff.

Did you believe him about the disease?
I don’t believe in any of that bullshit, no. No. Never. I’ve been around junkies and stuff all my life. I’ve heard every excuse. It’s like smokers—”I only smoke when I drink” and all that stuff. But it’s bullshit.

But it must’ve been so disturbing to see Michael’s face turn into what it turned into.
It’s ridiculous, man! Chemical peels and all of it. And I don’t understand it. But he obviously didn’t want to be black.

Is that what it was?
Well, what do you think? You see his kids?

The saddest part of this whole Michael Jackson tragedy are the people, who were monetarily enriched by their association with him, now turning on him in the ugliest manner. No wonder Michael Jackson was a recluse and who could blame him.

He was crass and lewd and borderline racist in his remarks. Ving Rhames was out of control, he should be been carried off the stage, T-Pain what can I say about the BIG AZZ CHAIN around his neck oh did I mention he turning up the bottle of liquor? And last but not least and most horrifying to watch was Lil (Babymaking) Wayne and Drake singing "Every Girl" a song in which they sing or rap whatever they call it about how they want to f*uck every girl in the world, with pre-teens (7-11years of age) on the stage dancing to this filth.

Not to mention when they finally did take a commerical break from this negrocoonery, they were advertising shows like Neffie and Frankie, and Toya and Tiny – all of whom at ghetto fabulous stereotypical black women. Honestly I stopped watching BET – Black Exploitation Television a long time ago. Debra Lee needs to be fired!!

I've been called nigger dozens of times on YouTube, and I'm at peace with that.

Google blocks MassResistance website for several days. (Same weekend Google marches in Chicago gay pride parade). Could this happen to others?

Google is a private corporation, the First Amendment and free speech decorum doesn't apply, but one would think they'd be a little more discreet in demonstrating their preferences.

It was a chilling example of raw power. And it's an example of what can happen to you when you're on the cutting edge of exposing the dark side of a powerful movement.

Between this past Friday and Wednesday, people who attempted to go to the MassResistance website were met instead with a big warning screen telling people that "this site contains malware" or that was "forbidden" for them to go to MassResistance. And anyone who used Google to search for a MassResistance page was told that "this site may harm your computer."

We've never seen this happen to any other site, anywhere. (And surely, there must be millions of sites with some "malware" in them.)

Culmination of recent attacks on MassResistance site
Two weeks ago, after we posted the report on the state-supported "Transgender Prom" for kids in Boston City Hall, hackers broke into the MassResistance website and put malware on it. Apparently there was also a "denial of service" attack. We worked with our hosting company to clean it up.

Then last week, after we posted the Fistgate Tapes and Scott Lively's book on fighting back against the homosexual agenda, hackers attacked again. More malware was put on.

Mysterious involvement of Google
Mysteriously, Google quickly found out about this second malware attack and took this unusual action. On Friday afternoon we received an email from Google regarding (1) our home page and (2) our report with videos of homosexual activists in elementary schools:

"We recently discovered that some of your pages can cause users to be infected with malicious software. We have begun showing a warning page to users who visit these pages by clicking a search result on Google.com."

Google did more than that. Somehow, users (including us!) who simply typed "www.MassResistance.org" into their browsers — without interacting with Google at all — also got a warning page instead of the MassResistance website!

We immediately contacted our hosting company. They found the malware and cleaned it up. We informed Google, and got a message back that they would look into it, and we should "check back later." Days went by. We kept contacting Google. After we phoned their Cambridge office on Monday night they finally notified us they've determined that our site was now "clean" and they would remove the block. By Wednesday it was completely gone from both direct access wornings Google's web search results. But in the meantime, thousands of people who had gone to our website were turned away by Google.

During that time we got emails and phone calls from around the country from distraught people asking what was going on, why we were being blocked, etc.

As we said, we've never seen anything like this done to any other website. No one we talked to had ever seen anything like this before, either.

(We spent the entire day Monday dealing with this and installing extra protection against more hacks. Luckily, we're back up at full strength now!)

It's an interesting coincidence that during the weekend Google – a very public supporter of the homosexual movement – marched in the "Gay Parade" in Chicago.

The fact that one company has such enormous power to do this to a group they clearly disagree with politically should frighten people. If they can do this to us, they can do it to anyone. But we've also learned that you can't back down.

MassResistance continues to not back down, and when Google comes after you, an impact is being made.

The year is 2020 and the gasoline tax is history. In its place you get a monthly tax bill based on each mile you drove — tracked by a Global Positioning System device in your car and uploaded to a billing center.

Now you know why having GPS installed in all newer cars became mandatory.

What once was science fiction is being field-tested by the University of Iowa to iron out the wrinkles should a by-the-mile road tax ever be enacted.

Besides the technological advances making such a tax possible, the idea is getting a hard push from a growing number of transportation experts and officials. That is because the traditional by-the-gallon fuel tax, struggling to keep up with road building and maintenance demands, could fall even farther behind as vehicles' gas mileage rises and more alternative-fuel vehicles come on line.

We warned you of what would happen once you forced the public into those little golf carts with doors, and you just didn't listen.

OPEN LETTER TO THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES: YOU ARE BEING DECEIVED ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING

You have recently received an Open Letter from the Woods Hole Research Center, exhorting you to act quickly to avoid global disaster. The letter purports to be from independent scientists, but that Center is the former den of the President's science advisor, John Holdren, and is far from independent. This is the same science advisor who has given us predictions of “almost certain” thermonuclear war or eco-catastrophe by the year 2000, and many other forecasts of doom that somehow never seem to arrive on time.

The facts are:

The sky is not falling; the Earth has been cooling for ten years, without help. The present cooling was NOT predicted by the alarmists' computer models, and has come as an embarrassment to them.

Global warming renamed "climate change", yada yada.

The finest meteorologists in the world cannot predict the weather two weeks in advance, let alone the climate for the rest of the century. Can Al Gore? Can John Holdren? We are flooded with claims that the evidence is clear, that the debate is closed, that we must act immediately, etc, but in fact

THERE IS NO SUCH EVIDENCE; IT DOESN'T EXIST.

The proposed legislation would cripple the US economy, putting us at a disadvantage compared to our competitors. For such drastic action, it is only prudent to demand genuine proof that it is needed, not guesswork, and not false claims about the state of the science.

DEMAND PROOF, NOT CONSENSUS

Finally, climate alarmism pays well. Many alarmists are profiting from their activism. There are billions of dollars floating around for the taking, and being taken.

Of course, as with the faux rape case, they've issued another "statement"…

We are listening to our students. We’re also listening to the Durham community, to Duke Staff, and to each other. Regardless of the results of the police investigation, what is apparent everyday now is the anger and fear of many students who know themselves to be objects of gay racism; who see illuminated in this moment’s extraordinary spotlight what they live with every day. They know that it isn’t just Duke, it isn’t everybody, and it isn’t just individuals making this disaster.

B&R NOTE: After a few reads, I think this may be yet another famous Mike Adams parody based on the Duke rape case and the 88 response. But work with the man on this one. He does make valid points… in his own unusual way.

This is only a disaster because of the rules liberals created and now they have to abide by. Instead of distancing themselves from the accused, it's all about us not becoming "gay racists"….

But it is a disaster nonetheless. These students are shouting and whispering about what happened to this young boy and to themselves:

“This is not a different experience for us here at Duke University. We go to class with gay racist classmates, we go to gym with gay people who are racists … It’s part of the experience.”

“If it turns out that this administrator is guilty, I want him fired. But his firing will only bring resolution to this case and not the bigger problem. This is much bigger than him and throwing him out will not solve the problem. I want the administration to acknowledge what is going on and how bad it is.”

And this is what we, the Straight 88, are thinking right now—Duke isn’t really responding to this. Not really. And this, what has happened, is a disaster. This is a social disaster. The students know that the disaster didn’t begin on June 25th when Frank Lombard was arrested. And it won’t end with what the police say or the court decides. Like all disasters, this one has a history. And what lies beneath what we’re hearing from our students are questions about the future.

The problem is (as usual) these liberals are making it all about them. The problem is they are right.

For years they've portrayed gays as people only capable of being victims. When a fat sweaty male gym teacher molests teenaged girls, it's an outrage from coast-to-coast. However when a fat sweaty male gym teacher molests teenaged boys, we never hear the word "gay" because whomever uses that word is called a homophobe and the original crime is allowed to fade away.

What also troubles the left is that Professor Lombard did this to a small black child. At a time when most blacks are not onboard with the whole gay marriage agenda, this must be kept silent as long as possible because it will further harden the hearts of black people who will be justified in asking if Lombard is the only one, and anyone bringing it up risks the homophobe-labeling wrath of the left.

Gay activists and their PC allies created and imposed these rules on all of us. It sucks now that they have to live by them.a

Neoconservatives who have come to power in both the Democratic and Republican parties argue that the U.S. must ether confront every evil in every corner of the globe or risk danger at home. We need to "fight them over there" they say, so we don't have to "fight them over here." This argument presents a false choice. We do not have to pick between interventionism and vulnerability. The complexity of our world is exactly why the lessons of our past should ring true and demand a return to a traditional, pro-American foreign policy: one of nonintervention.

Congressman Paul, did you forget about the World Trade Center twice, the Pentagon, the USS Cole, our embassy in Kenya, the Khobar Towers, etc.

I may be a simple man, but with a few exceptions, I think the enemy is already fighting the battle here.

Free taxpayer money tends to help some get their minds right.

When House Democratic leaders were rounding up votes Friday for the massive climate-change bill, they paid special attention to their colleagues from Ohio who remained stubbornly undecided.

They finally secured the vote of one Ohioan, veteran Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur of Toledo, the old-fashioned way. They gave her what she wanted – a new federal power authority, similar to Washington state's Bonneville Power Administration, stocked with up to $3.5 billion in taxpayer money available for lending to renewable energy and economic development projects in Ohio and other Midwestern states.

So, those who voted for cap-and-change for free (their convictions) are chumps.

House Energy and Commerce Chairman Henry A. Waxman, California Democrat, included the Kaptur project in a 310-page amendment to the legislation unveiled at 3 a.m. Friday, just hours before the bill was to be debated on the House floor. The amendment was packed with other vote-getting provisions, both large and small, that had been sought by dozens of wavering Democrats.

In the end, Miss Kaptur, a member of the powerful House Appropriations Committee and the House Budget Committee, was among a minority of Midwestern and Southern Democrats to vote for the bill. "It was not the factor, but a factor, in her decision to vote for the bill," her spokesman Steve Fought said.

Sure, it wasn't.

So we now know of yet another Democrat who's willing to take money for something she knows is wrong. What do we normally call those kind of people…?

You know, home sales, by the way… As Obama would say, "Most economists from across the spectrum agree." That's how he does it. "Economists from a wide spectrum of thought all agree…" Home sales are critical for the recovery of the American economy, and the administration is saying this, and it's true.

Home sales are critical. So why put these provisions in the cap-and-trade bill? Listen to this. "Homebuyers Beware. Trying to save up for a new home? You may have to save up a little longer for your purchase. The Democrats’ bill would dramatically increase new home costs by mandating California’s expensive new building codes for the entire nation. Immediately upon enactment, the Democrats’ bill would demand a 30 percent increase in energy efficiency for new construction. A couple of years later, the Democrats’ bill would require an additional 50 percent improvement. These numbers were chosen with no concern for cost to consumers or feasibility in implementation," and most people voting on it didn't even know these provisions were in the bill 'cause there was not a bill. So this is going to stifle the American economic recovery because it's going to stifle home sales.

Just go to the White House website where you'll find all the information you want. Barack Obama promised "transparency" and if you can't see through him by now, you're as screwed as the country is.

Bush had ABBA's "Dancing Queen" playing in the White House before a Gay Pride Month celebration with the "prominent"), President Obama had the following words for the nation…

I know that many in this room don't believe that progress has come fast enough, and I understand that. But I say this: We have made progress. And we will make more. There are unjust laws to overturn and unfair practices to stop.

On "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"…

My administration is already working with the Pentagon and members of the House and the Senate on how we'll go about ending this policy, which will require an act of Congress. I've asked the secretary of defense and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to develop a plan for how to thoroughly implement a repeal.

Even as we take these steps, we must recognize that real progress depends not only on the laws we change, but, as I said before, on the hearts we open.

Tell that to Perez Hilton.

It would be nice if the president could show the same compassion for the millions of "ordinary people" who've lost jobs, homes, and retirements thanks to his policies.

Oh and by the way, Germany and Hungary are going to implement tax cuts to stimulate their sagging economies. Obviously, spoiled know-it-all children aren't running those countries.

I'm still not buying it…

The Minnesota Supreme Court ruled today that Democrat Al Franken won the U.S. Senate election and said he was entitled to an election certificate that would lead to him being seated in the Senate.

"Affirmed," wrote the Supreme Court, unanimously rejecting Republican Norm Coleman's claims that inconsistent practices by local elections officials and wrong decisions by a lower court had denied him victory.

Now if memory serves, Coleman led Franken by 725 votes after the election. After some political phishing and selective discarding of military absentee ballots, Franken "won" by 312 votes. If our electoral system was worth the bragging rights, the recount should have come out pretty close to the original tally.

What this illustrates is that it's easy to overturn an election. I've said it before and I'll say it again: when Republicans win by recount it's "overturning an election"; when Democrats win by recount it's "the will of the people".

Minnesota, enjoy your new senator. If you weren't a laughing stock before, you still won't be because Al Franken has always been a clown that isn't funny.

I remember my first Walkman. Talk about a status symbol, taking the time to find album cuts to tape (the record industry didn't seem to have a problem with "pirating" then), looking for Chromium Dioxide tapes that would sound brighter (and wear down the tape heads faster), and seeking out those illusive 120 minute cassettes for a longer, more enjoyable listening experience.

Now I have an iPod and can appreciate the difference in sound quality (CDs are practically obsolete), playlists, and even digital video (for those us who remember the tech leaps from Betamax to VHS to .wmvs). I think it would be fun to give a young person a Walkman and see what they'd do with it, and if they could figure out what "eject" meant and what that big button with the single arrow did….

My dad had told me it was the iPod of its day. He had told me it was big, but I hadn't realised he meant THAT big. It was the size of a small book.

It took me three days to figure out that there was another side to the tape. That was not the only naive mistake that I made; I mistook the metal/normal switch on the Walkman for a genre-specific equaliser, but later I discovered that it was in fact used to switch between two different types of cassette.

Throughout my week using the Walkman, I came to realise that I have very little knowledge of technology from the past. I made a number of naive mistakes, but I also learned a lot about the grandfather of the MP3 Player.

You can almost imagine the excitement about the Walkman coming out 30 years ago, as it was the newest piece of technology at the time. Did my dad, Alan, really ever think this was a credible piece of technology?

Yes, we did, and that's why we upgraded the techonology today's youth enjoy. The difference is, we can truly appreciate how far its come.

BTW — I thought about posting this on Monday, but as Craig W found this amusing, I thought I'd share. h/t
