This commentary was written shortly before the first anniversary of 9/11

This “person” thinks the upcoming ten-year anniversary of 9/11 will bring out patriotism: all the bad that is America.

Even worse, it will drive the idiots among us, the racists, the anti-Muslim Christian cultists and functionally illiterate, gun toting TeaBaggers into acts of domestic violence, simply because their targets have darker skin, speak with a mid eastern accent, and cherish their god with a different name. Too many brews, too little brains, and an IHOP in Atlanta can soon be the site of death, even against loyal, patriotic Arab-Americans. It has happened before. It will happen again.

I’ve grown tired of responding to people who have an unjustified superiority complex yet know that some people are dumb enough to believe and repeat their lies.

A standard, even boring, piece of Chinese military propaganda screened in mid-July included what must have been an unintended but nevertheless damaging revelation: shots from a computer screen showing a Chinese military university is engaged in cyberwarfare against entities in the United States.

The screenshots show the name of the software and the Chinese university that built it, the Electrical Engineering University of China’s People’s Liberation Army—direct evidence that the PLA is involved in coding cyber-attack software.

The ChiComms may be ruthless but this again proves they’re not all that smart.

Blowing off the controversy over their last politically correct video that inferred the most likely terrorist would be anyone but those who conduct attacks almost daily around the world, DHS’s latest video “The Drop Off: If You See Something, Say Something™” is clear: keep an eye on those whacky white people.

BTW — Janet Napolitano also warns that terrorists may try and obtain weapons from gun stores. Who knows, maybe some of those guns may come from “Fast & Furious”. The upside: that could be considered recycling.

America was built on the principles of equality and basic human rights for all. Recent mosque protests and congressional hearings on American Muslims are all unfortunate examples of a rising tide of fear that lead to intolerance and inequality. This climate of suspicion towards our fellow Americans compromises the great values that our country was founded upon. We’ve put together a 2 minute film in response that I believe you and the readers of Black & Right will be interested in sharing, watching, and discussing.

After a couple of days worth of back-and-forth, the nice lady politely withdrew the request on behalf of her organization as I don’t agree with the premise of the video and the reasons I gave her are as follows….

When black people have (what the Urban Dictionary defines as) “nigga moments”, I call them on it and take the heat for it.

On very few occasions have I heard Muslims on the street denounce the terror attacks perpetrated by Muslims around the world on an almost daily basis. This video doesn’t either. It makes the rank-and-file Muslim look to be the victim of unreasonable harassment and no one calling it what it is.

And how are Muslims in America treated badly?

• In some cases, they are given paid time to pray during work hours, something no other religion would ever be granted.
• In some cases, they are allowed to deviate from dress codes that bar religious symbols being worn at schools or a workplace. Muslim women sue employers to wear the hijab.
• In some cases, Muslims can alter their job description if it requires them to be around something at odds with Islam (i.e. the handling of certain meats or animals), even though they knew what the job entailed when they first applied.

Again, I don’t see the need to be “educated” as to the problems Muslims experience here in America as they are afforded special treatment many Americans would never ask for.

As you all know, I’m not into censorship so I opted to post the video and invite the discussion.

If one were to go by who carries out the majority of terrorist acts around the world on a daily basis, the Department of Homeland Security is definitely barking up the wrong tree. Then again, if you were to count progressive eco-terrorists and anarchists, they could be right.

2008: “Navy Seal Team 6 is Cheney’s private assassination team.”
2011: “I put together Seal Team 6 to take out Bin Laden.”

2008: “Bin Laden is innocent until proven guilty, and must be captured alive and given a fair trial.”
2011: “I authorized Seal Team 6 to kill Bin Laden.”

2008: “Guantanamo is entirely unnecessary, and the detainees should not be interrogated.”
2011: “Vital intelligence was obtained from Guantanamo detainees that led to our locating Bin Laden.”

Let’s be clear on this: OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden. An American sailor, who Obama, just a few weeks ago, was debating on whether or not to PAY, did.

In fact, if you remember a little less than two years ago, his administration actually charged and attempted to court-martial 3 Navy Seals from Seal Team Six, when a terrorist suspect they captured, complained they had punched him during the take down and bloodied his nose. His administration further commented how brutal they were. The left were calling them Nazi’s and Baby Killers.

Now all of a sudden, the very brave men they vilified are now heroes when they make his administration look good in the eyes of the public. Obama just happened to be the one in office when the CIA finally found the b…… And our sailors took him out. Essentially, Obama only gave an answer. Yes or No, to him being taken out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory!!

Ooh-rah.

Once again, I wonder what they media and liberal activist response would be if George W. Bush (or any Republican president) were to impose the intrusive policies the Obama administration defends and enforces with an iron fist.

Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Justice upped the ante in a high-stakes political game of chicken. Lobbying against pending legislation in the Texas legislature which would criminalize any searches conducted without probable cause, U.S. Attorney John E. Murphy sent a letter to a few high-ranking members of Texas’ government warning against promoting the bill and threatening a complete closure of all flights to and from the state.

So, if you want to travel, you must allow any TSA official to be able to feel you up whenever and wherever they want. If your state protests, this administration with ground all aircraft in that state.

The terrorists must be laughing their asses off.

The SEALs did their job, didn’t seek pats on the back, appearances on Good Morning America, or a ticker tape parade down Madison Avenue. Knowing they carried out their mission successfully and everyone came home was enough. Then again, Hollywood’s always looking for something to leech off of.

In a perfect example of a big media company looking to capitalize on current events, The Walt Disney Company has trademarked “Seal Team 6,” which also happens to be the name of the elite special forces team that killed Osama Bin Laden. Disney’s trademark applications for “Seal Team 6″ cover clothing, footwear, headwear, toys, games and “entertainment and education services,” among other things.

Meanwhile, Disney has just made the bullseye on the SEALs and their families a whole lot bigger.

The left, led by Michael Moore, criticized George W. Bush on 9/11 for not looking more presidential and being whisked out of the classroom in an official manner to an undisclosed location to do what presidents do in times of emergency.

A new video has emerged showing a TSA worker performing an invasive body search of an innocent young girl.

The disturbing footage shows the little girl, said to be six-years-old, being called forward for a full pat down and finger search by a burly TSA security agent at an unknown American Airport.

Why is it that common sense is also at a deficit when it comes to government workers?

This guy isn’t the bonehead. I’m waiting for the boneheads at the Council on American-Islamic Relations to come to his defense, screaming racism and intolerance for Muslims while ignoring the inconvenient fact their boy wanted to blow himself and a lot of innocent people up.

Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, 20, a citizen of Saudi Arabia and resident of Lubbock, Texas, was arrested late yesterday by FBI agents in Texas on a federal charge of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction in connection with his alleged purchase of chemicals and equipment necessary to make an improvised explosive device (IED) and his research of potential U.S. targets. In addition, he has allegedly described his desire for violent jihad and martyrdom in blog postings and a personal journal.

If we’re unduly picking on Muslims (who just happen to have the bad fortune of being caught with bomb making materials and the instructions on how to construct them), maybe CAIR should be working on finding ways of helping them leave this racist, intolerant country.

There is black-on-black crime, undereducated rednecks, uptight Asians, gang-banging Latinos in America and Hollywood makes sure we all know about it. In fact, Hollywood uses a variety of media to proudly display as many of America’s ethnic shortcomings as possible, but there’s one group who’ve they’ve been told to lay off of and Hollywood is listening.

After years of watching Muslims portrayed as terrorists in mainstream TV and movies, an advocacy group hopes to change that image by grooming a crop of aspiring Muslim screenwriters who can bring their stories — and perspective — to Hollywood.

“The idea is to really give Muslims an avenue to tell our stories. It’s as simple as that. There’s a curiosity about Islam and a curiosity about who Muslims are — and a lot of the fear that we’re seeing comes from only hearing one story or these constant negative stories,” said Deana Nassar, Muslim Public Affairs Council’s Hollywood liaison.

Maybe Ms. Nassar believes there is a curiosity, but we see all we need to know on an almost daily basis. We are not the ones inventing “these constant negative stories” and maybe she should be spending more time educating the ones doing the bombings and beheadings and honor killings than those who are just visualizing an inconvenient reality.

When reading the initial reports of the Moscow bombing, I was surprised it actually took confirmation of the identity of the perpetrator before the media published conclusions. Other nations recognize reality.

Russian investigators on Monday found a head of “Arab appearance” that is presumed to have belonged to the suicide bomber responsible for setting off a Moscow airport blast, Interfax reported.

The Domodedovo airport blast killed at least 35 people and injured 130 others, with President Dmitry Medvedev describing the blast as “an act of terror”.

Our media was very careful not to jump to any conclusions and offend anyone when it came to a terrorist act and the usual suspects. See, they do know how to do their job… when they want to.

We’ve commented here many times on double standards and speculated what would happen if Christians committed the same acts of violence as Muslims. It looks like Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas gave us an answer.

Christians would be racially profiled at public places and transportation hubs. Christians wouldn’t be allowed to build churches wherever they pleased. Christians wouldn’t be allowed to wear their traditional garb without mocking and angry looks. Christians wouldn’t be allowed to say the word “Jesus” without triggering alarm bells at the NSA. Christians wouldn’t be allowed to go to church without having their property vandalized, and even being physically attacked. Christians would be the villain in every action thriller. Christians wouldn’t be able to run for office without having bigots accuse them of being in league with terrorists.

I can see his point given how many suicide bombings (domestically and around the world), beheadings, honor killings, oppression of women, rioting, stonings, and death threats issued to anyone who insults God and/or Jesus, Christians do on an almost daily basis.

This guy deserves a medal.

A self-described “hacktivist” known as “th3j35t3r” — or the Jester — claimed responsibility for the attack and wrote on Twitter that WikiLeaks was “threatening the lives of our troops and ‘other assets,’” Andy Greenberg at Forbes reported. Later, the Jester tweeted that the attack was not made from many computers but was a “simple” denial of service hit. On the Jester’s blog, the hacker claims to be “obstructing the lines of communication for terrorists, sympathizers, fixers, facilitators, oppressive regimes and other general bad guys.”

Unlike Julian Assange and WikiLeaks, The Jester knows the difference.
