NASA is “anticipating”, which probably means hoping, the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS) will land in an ocean rather than strike dry land. A standard, even boring, piece of Chinese military propaganda screened in mid-July included what must have been an unintended but nevertheless damaging revelation: shots from a computer screen showing a Chinese military university is engaged in cyberwarfare against entities in the United States.

The screenshots show the name of the software and the Chinese university that built it, the Electrical Engineering University of China’s People’s Liberation Army—direct evidence that the PLA is involved in coding cyber-attack software.

The ChiComms may be ruthless but this again proves they’re not all that smart.

Mitsuyuki Ikeda, a researcher from the Okayama Laboratory, has developed steaks based on proteins from human excrement. Tokyo Sewage approached the scientist because of an overabundance of sewage mud. They asked him to explore the possible uses of the sewage and Ikeda found that the mud contained a great deal of protein because of all the bacteria.

The researchers then extracted those proteins, combined them with a reaction enhancer and put it in an exploder which created the artificial steak. The “meat” is 63% proteins, 25% carbohydrates, 3% lipids and 9% minerals. The researchers color the poop meat red with food coloring and enhance the flavor with soy protein. Initial tests have people saying it even tastes like beef.

Okay, that’s different. If it tasted like chicken I’d be worried.

When asked last Monday why the American media sent their top-tier anchors to Japan, Russia Today believed it was out of some sort of geopolitical motivation. I replied it was because Japan is one of the top three technological centers in the world and setting up sophisticated live network remotes would be child’s play for the Japanese.

Some in the business say Japan being a high-tech country means coverage is assured – whereas less developed nations like Pakistan get much less media attention.

“The world probably got less of the story in some of those other countries because they didn’t have the technology, the cameras, like in Japan,” said Bob Parks from the Media Research Center. “From dozens of different angles you saw the waves coming in, which is the kind of footage, unfortunately in our business, that’s the dream… and you don’t get in some other Third World countries, when you just get shots of the aftermath.”

I get a lot of email and the sucker I am, I check out what many people are wowed by. For example, I’ve received numerous emails with an incredible video of Bruce Lee playing ping pong with nunchucks…

However, this video was digitally created in 2008 for a Nokia cellphone ad. The camera angles give it away, not to mention a simple Internet search.

A New York rapper joined up with ColorofChange.org and MoveOn.org to protest the racist scrutiny Fox News dared inflict on then-Senator Barack Obama during the presidential campaign. This is also the same ColorofChange.org that led the advertiser boycott of Glenn Beck’s program.

Let’s take a quick look at ColorofChange.org, who like Al Sharpton, is still on Fox’ case.

A self-described “hacktivist” known as “th3j35t3r” — or the Jester — claimed responsibility for the attack and wrote on Twitter that WikiLeaks was “threatening the lives of our troops and ‘other assets,’” Andy Greenberg at Forbes reported. Later, the Jester tweeted that the attack was not made from many computers but was a “simple” denial of service hit. On the Jester’s blog, the hacker claims to be “obstructing the lines of communication for terrorists, sympathizers, fixers, facilitators, oppressive regimes and other general bad guys.”

Unlike Julian Assange and WikiLeaks, The Jester knows the difference.
