Facebook said Friday it mistakenly removed a post in which Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer criticized a controversial policy decision by President Barack Obama’s administration to limit deportations of illegal immigrants.

Facebook spokesman Andrew Noyes responded to a query by The Associated Press by saying in a brief email that Brewer’s post was removed in error and that Facebook was sorry. Noyes did not provide further details, including whether the removal of the post on Thursday resulted from complaints received from other Facebook users.

Yes, they never can tell anyone how or why these things happen….

Latinos protest deportations at Obama campaign HQ
Latino activists held a protest outside President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign headquarters on Tuesday to ask him to end a criminal deportation program they say is snaring large number of illegal immigrants who have not committed crimes.

I may be missing something here, but the very fact that a person has entered the country illegally or overstayed a visa is a criminal act, stupid activists.

One of the best incentives for defeating Barack Obama is that it’ll be nice to have an administration that actually follows and obeys the rules.

A new enforcement memo handed down by the director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement last week has some accusing the White House of running around Congress to implement the DREAM Act – and consequent amnesty for some illegal immigrants – by executive fiat.

The new memo, penned by ICE Director John Morton, directs ICE agents, attorneys and directors to exercise “prosecutorial discretion” – meaning less likelihood of deportation – for illegal aliens who have been students in the U.S., who have been in the country since childhood or who have served in the American military.

Hopefully all those immigrants who are following the rules will remember the administration who made it possible for hundreds of thousands of lawbreakers to cut in line.

Does DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz not know illegal immigration already is a “crime”?

Maybe if the Democrat Party would go about elevating their best and brightest instead of highlighting race and gender promotions, they wouldn’t have their new chairwoman making stupid statements like this.

Then again, maybe Debbie Wasserman Schultz believes her constituents are stupid and don’t know illegal immigration is a “crime” because it’s already against the law.

When police ran X-ray scanners over two cargo trucks at a checkpoint in southeastern Mexico on Tuesday, they made a surprising discovery: Inside the trailer were the ghostly shadows of 513 migrants — some suffering from dehydration — packed together in near-suffocating conditions.

We get lectured about personal responsibility, but when it comes to the possibility of a few million more Democrat votes, the rule is irresponsible, not the person.

You know the left is desperate when they quote Scripture.

A Mexican flag flutters in the distance Tuesday as the motorcade of President Obama heads toward the Bridge of America Cargo Facility in El Paso, Texas, during his visit to the U.S.-Mexico border to speak about immigration reform.

That flag is supposed to be some kind of reminder. It looks more like a notice of seizure.

Remember all those Hollywood liberals who every four years expect we’ll be pleading with them to stay in America should a Republican win the White House, but when a Republican wins, they never fucking leave?

A long-simmering movement by liberal stalwarts in southern Arizona to break away from the rest of the largely conservative state is at a boiling point as secession backers press to bring their longshot ambition to the forefront of Arizona politics. A group of lawyers from the Democratic stronghold of Tucson and surrounding Pima County have launched a petition drive seeking support for a November 2012 ballot question on whether the 48th state should be divided in two.

Notwithstanding Tamron Hall’s pitiful attempt to link a secession movement to the Giffords shooting, should liberal Arizona go broke (given their propensity to overspend), will they expect the conservative state they’ve vilified to help them out and/or take them in?

Glenn Beck was bashed for saying the current administration was racist against whites. It sure looks like they’re cutting the illegal browns a lot of slack.

An illegal alien apprehended by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency during the last fiscal year had an estimated 84 percent chance of never being prosecuted, according to figures compiled by the office of Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas).

The Society of Professional Journalists (of which we are not members) would like the terms “illegal alien” and “illegal immigrant” stricken from the vocabulary.

Some believe the phrase illegal alien originated with fiery, anti-immigrant groups along the U.S.-Mexico border, such as the Minutemen. Gradually, the phrase — along with illegal immigrant — seeped into common usage. It is now even used by some network TV newscasters.

Yet it remains offensive to many Latinos, and especially Mexicans, and to the fundamentals of American jurisprudence.

B&R will no longer use the terms mentioned above. After a brief meeting with Cory and reaching consensus, B&R will employ the term “UNPROCESSED IMMIGRANT” when referring to illegal aliens and/or illegal immigrants.

B&R is not responsible for any confusion between federal lawbreakers and raw dairy products.

The DREAM Act that would grant a “pathway to citizenship” for the children of illegal aliens was defeated, and according to a piece written by the Miami Herald’s Melissa Sanchez and another by the Associated Press, it was the Republicans’ fault.

I understand writers aren’t always in control of headlines, but as the Senate GOP has only 42 votes and DREAM was defeated with 51, it would have been more accurate to say Democrats were the ones to block the DREAM Act, but that would be fair.

Salma Hayek said she was once an illegal immigrant in the U.S. She also said she had to endure racial discrimination, saying it was inconceivable to American producers and directors that a Mexican woman could have a lead role.

So Salma Hayek claims Hollywood execs were kinda bigoted against Mexicans. I’m sure she got her first gigs based solely on her script-reading abilities….

Her parents overstayed their visas and she writes two pages of sob story in an attempt to make us feel guilty about not supporting legislation that rewards them for intentionally and successfully breaking our law.

I was a little girl who hadn’t even learned the alphabet when I overstayed my visa. If the DREAM Act doesn’t pass, I might have to take my degree and go back to a country I never knew.

I’m a senior at Harvard and I’m undocumented. I’ve spent most of my life keeping my immigration status a secret, but in retrospect it seems that I could have been more discreet at times.

But now people like her are in our faces, blaming us for not being willing to forgive their parents’ crime. Did it ever occur to her to take this up with them instead of laughing in the faces of those still waiting in line to come here within the rules?

We’ve seen liberal “hunger strikes” where participants take turns fasting or going “liquid-only” kind of defeating the purpose of putting life and limb on the line for a cause. As there are no specifics with the Texas (and spreading) student-DREAM Act hunger strike, it makes one wonder just how committed they really are.

University students across Texas this week joined San Antonio students in a hunger strike aimed at pressuring U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison to vote for the DREAM Act, a bill that would provide a path to citizenship for students and soldiers brought to the country illegally as children.

Note to the students: Successful strikers tend to be people the populace cares about….
