Why is it I feel that all it will take to make this all go away is a sizable contribution to a certain campaign…?

We’ve commented here many times on double standards and speculated what would happen if Christians committed the same acts of violence as Muslims. It looks like Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas gave us an answer.

Christians would be racially profiled at public places and transportation hubs. Christians wouldn’t be allowed to build churches wherever they pleased. Christians wouldn’t be allowed to wear their traditional garb without mocking and angry looks. Christians wouldn’t be allowed to say the word “Jesus” without triggering alarm bells at the NSA. Christians wouldn’t be allowed to go to church without having their property vandalized, and even being physically attacked. Christians would be the villain in every action thriller. Christians wouldn’t be able to run for office without having bigots accuse them of being in league with terrorists.

I can see his point given how many suicide bombings (domestically and around the world), beheadings, honor killings, oppression of women, rioting, stonings, and death threats issued to anyone who insults God and/or Jesus, Christians do on an almost daily basis.

Literally…!

The CIA has launched a taskforce to assess the impact of 250,000 leaked US diplomatic cables. Its name? WikiLeaks Task Force, or WTF for short.

“Officially, the panel is called the WikiLeaks Task Force. But at CIA headquarters, it’s mainly known by its all-too-apt acronym: WTF,” the Washington Post reported.

WTF is more commonly associated with the Facebook and Twitter profiles of teenagers than secret agency committees.

That could be precisely whom we’re dealing with, physically if not mentally.

While I won’t attribute it solely to a particular side of the brain, it’s truly amazing how short the memory in the liberal mind is.

There is simply no modern precedent for the behavior of Republicans in the U.S. Senate. They are not only hyper-partisan, but they are also petty, petulant and unpatriotic, willing to jeopardize national security if they think they can hurt President Obama.

So, what’s really going on with GOP opposition? They don’t want to give President Obama another victory (even if it also means a victory for the United States). As Mitch McConnell has said, his number one priority is making sure Obama doesn’t have a second term. He doesn’t care how much damage he does to the national interest in pursuing that goal.

Does the whining Ms. Tucker remember the “modern precedent” of Democrat virulent opposition to (dare I say it) The Surge, where liberals chided us for questioning their patriotism while declaring the Iraq War a lost cause (with our soldiers on the ground) so it would hurt Bush? Obviously not.

Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday the government crackdown on websites facilitating copyright infringement was timed to coincide with the holiday shopping season.

Some website owners were surprised to find their sites shut down during the weekend and replaced by an emblem indicating it had been seized by federal authorities.

Rush Limbaugh just made the point (Glenn Beck made it earlier): if Eric Holder spent as much time hunting and shutting down websites that allow illegal downloads and spent more time shutting down the WikiLeaks website… sorry.

That would be common sense.

So the choice has narrowed: get irradiated in a machine or risk catching an STD without the satisfaction of an orgasm….

WND reported two days ago on alarmed passengers who noted that TSA agents doing the pat-downs that have been described by critics as molestation since they include touching private body parts were not changing gloves between passengers. In fact, some apparently were patting down dozens of passengers or more wearing the same gloves.

Now two doctors – and several others – have confirmed that there is the definite possibility that passengers will be able to catch whatever someone in front of them in line was suffering from via the latex gloves TSA workers use.

I wonder what all those people who told us all to shut up and take it think about the whining now?

If there was any doubt that this bunch of government fuck ups are the last people to be entrusted with the safety of the flying public, the TSA inadvertantly posted online tips as to how to getting around airport security.

The TSA has published a “redacted” version of their s00per s33kr1t screening procedure guidelines (Want to know whether to frisk a CIA operative at the checkpoint? Now you can!). Unfortunately, the security geniuses at the DHS don’t know that drawing black blocks over the words you want to eliminate from your PDF doesn’t actually make the words go away, and can be defeated by nefarious al Qaeda operatives through a complex technique known as ctrl-a/ctrl-c/ctrl-v. Thankfully, only the most elite terrorists would be capable of matching wits with the technology brilliance on display at the agency charged with defending our nation’s skies by ensuring that imaginary hair-gel bombs are kept off of airplanes.

Basically, if you’re a minor, a Member of Congress, in the Armed Forces, a “Foreign Dignitary in CIA Custody”, have a “a Diplomatic Pouch”, or disabled, you’ll be spared the pat down… and thanks to the TSA, the bad guys now know this as well.

I don’t want to come off as ragging on screeners, but when you see a Marine you know that’s a Marine and what to expect. Looking at the job description of a Transportation Security Officer, the “provide friendly customer service to travelers” part obviously needs a little work.

The TSA has been hit with a number of lawsuits as the revolt against Big Sis, naked body scanners, and invasive groping measures explodes, with one case involving a woman who had her blouse pulled down in full public view by TSA goons who then proceeded to laugh and joke about her exposed breasts.

While the TSA site does say new applicants are subject to background checks, it fails to differentiate between credit and criminal, and gives no details to the general public as to what kind of training these TSOs receive in the fine art of the pat down (if at all).

These findings are not at all surprising.

If the Left acknowledged sin, hypocrisy would be one of the most unforgiveable. But that’s exactly what hundreds of university faculty members – many in women’s and gender studies departments – were found guilty of during a recent experiment devised by a University of Illinois economics professor.

The refusal of women’s studies professors to publicly condemn honor killings, or academic advocates of gay rights to speak out against the treatment of homosexuals in Muslim countries, is just about as hypocritical as it gets.

But they sign a petition condemning Israel. We hear a lot about the rise of antisemitism in America. It’s breeding on campus, promoted by the professoriate.

I’d throw in their being cowards as well because how much brain power does it take to brow beat a captive student and get them to perform acts of civil disobedience? Professors are way too smart to engage in acts of protest that result in their own possible incarceration or injury. Ask Rachel Corrie how that works.

U.S. and Pakistani authorities captured KSM on March 1, 2003 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. KSM stayed mum for months, often answering questions with Koranic chants. Interrogators eventually waterboarded him — for just 90 seconds.

KSM “didn’t resist,” one CIA veteran said in the August 13 issue of The New Yorker. “He sang right away. He cracked real quick.” Another CIA official told ABC News: “KSM lasted the longest under water-boarding, about a minute and a half, but once he broke, it never had to be used again.”

Hopefully, the next time Mr. Wallace interviews someone with the stature of a former vice president, he does his homework first.
