Fried food heart risk ‘a myth’
They told us sugar was bad, salt was bad, oil was bad, butter was bad, and at least half of us have had to endure the unpleasant side effects of suggested substitutes. What is it going to take to stop the misinformation that requires us all to alter our diets just to keep the fucking food Nazis off our backs?

The inevitability of Thanksgiving alone is bad enough. Now the prospect of being denied fried turkey.

Where’s the ledge….

It’s not news environmentalists prefer trees, animals, and insects over people. In 1962 Rachel Carson chose nature, created a stink about DDT and millions of children have since paid the ultimate price.

According to the World Health Organization, there are between 300 million and 500 million cases of malaria every year, resulting in more than one million deaths, with about 90% of these deaths occurring in Africa, mostly to children under the age of five.

Of course, that ban conveniently went into affect after the United States was cleansed of the disease.

Now, President Obama has chosen a similar path.

Asthma patients who rely on over-the-counter inhalers will need to switch to prescription-only alternatives as part of the federal government’s latest attempt to protect the Earth’s atmosphere.

The action is part of an agreement signed by the U.S. and other nations to stop using substances that deplete the ozone layer, a region in the atmosphere that helps block harmful ultraviolet rays from the Sun.

Obama may have gone too far this time.

Asthma is a very real affliction to parents of children with breathing problems. (I am one of those parents.) We’re not talking about faceless African children half a world away where millions of deaths a year is accepted as another daily statistic. We’re now talking about American children, the children of parents who vote, and the children of parents who’ll now be forced to choose between the comfort and safety of their children and the ever-changing “science” of an ozone hole that closes as often as environmentalists scream it’s growing.

This may be a sensational conclusion, but environmentalists kill people. Let me take that back.

They kill children. They lost little sleep over the deaths of African children and I’d be willing to assume that few in this administration have children with asthma, thus this looming ban won’t affect them.

If it did, I’m sure they’d find a way to grant themselves a waiver.

Yet one more reason I don’t care for New York City.

Are you prepared for the impending zombie invasion? That’s the question posed by the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention in a Monday blog posting gruesomely titled, “Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse.” And while it’s no joke, CDC officials say it’s all about emergency preparation.

The post, written by Assistant Surgeon General Ali Khan, instructs readers how to prepare for “flesh-eating zombies” much like how they appeared in Hollywood hits like “Night of the Living Dead” and video games like Resident Evil. Perhaps surprisingly, the same steps you’d take in preparation for an onslaught of ravenous monsters are similar to those suggested in advance of a hurricane or pandemic.

What do you say to this, coming from the federal government? The next time a Democrat EVER talks about their having adults in leadership, remind them about the “zombie apocalypse” warning. And typically missing from any liberal impending doom to-do list, a gun.

While the food Nazis are trying to make all of our lives unpleasant, this reads like a scene from Woody Allen’s “Sleeper” where in a futuristic world, everything we’ve been told is bad for us is really quite good.

Low-fat diets can actually increase the risk of heart disease, new research has revealed. For years people wanting to protect their hearts have avoided eating fatty foods such as red meat and dairy products.

But the study suggests that low-fat diets weaken the immune system and slow the body’s healing process and make it less effective. A lack of fats and cholesterol can allow damage in arteries and veins to reach critical levels and lead to heart attacks, strokes or organ failure.

Saps like vegans and governmental health food nuts should be urged (with scientific evidence to back it up) to either join us for a bacon cheeseburger or get out of our faces.

An elderly woman’s alleged threat to castrate a politician brought FBI agents and a town police officer to Nortontown Road Tuesday afternoon, but no arrest was made. Authorities went to the woman’s home after receiving a report that she called a politician Tuesday to threaten harm because the politician wants to cut funding to Planned Parenthood. Police say the woman, who is in her 80s, was “very upset” about the possible funding cut because she used to volunteer with the organization.

Death, and now castration threats. Good thing liberals don’t like nukes.

A caller to my radio show was working Brown over, asking him about the 54,000 Massachusetts residents who’ve been fined for the crime of having no dough to buy the health insurance that illegal aliens still get for free.

Both Brown and Romney sucked up to Massachusetts liberals, screwed over the Commonwealth, and now act like nothing happened. Scott Brown got away with it (for now) but Mitt’s ego will be his undoing because RomneyCare is his middle name.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has granted waivers to 10 health insurance companies, including giants such as Cigna and Aetna and divisions of Blue Cross Blue Shield, from the requirements of the new health care law, also known as ObamaCare.

The Department of Health and Human Services had issued 733 waivers to the health care law to corporations, labor unions, and non-profit organizations as of Jan. 26. That was up from 222 in December 2010.

It gets better by the day, just not for “ordinary” Americans.

Judge uses Obama’s words against him

In ruling against President Obama‘s health care law, federal Judge Roger Vinson used Mr. Obama‘s own position from the 2008 campaign against him, when the then-Illinois senator argued there were other ways to achieve reform short of requiring every American to purchase insurance.

“I note that in 2008, then-Senator Obama supported a health care reform proposal that did not include an individual mandate because he was at that time strongly opposed to the idea, stating that…”

That’s right, he said it.

We told them so but they were so much smarter. Some of them relied on the “Commerce  clause” and some on the “Good and Welfare clause”, but in the end they probably read as much of the Constitution as they did the Health Care Reform bill.

U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson, appointed to the bench by Republican President Ronald Reagan, ruled that the reform law’s so-called individual mandate went too far in requiring that Americans start buying health insurance in 2014 or pay a penalty.

“Because the individual mandate is unconstitutional and not severable, the entire act must be declared void. This has been a difficult decision to reach, and I am aware that it will have indeterminable implications. Regardless of how laudable its attempts may have been to accomplish these goals in passing the Act, Congress must operate within the bounds established by the Constitution,” the judge ruled.

Unfortunately, it’s going to suck being Judge Roger Vinson for the next few months as the media has already declared his decision partisan, rather than Constitutional… you know, like the Democrats did last March when they passed the bill in the first place.

During the health care debate, Democrats compared us to cars. That didn’t work, so they probably figured they’d need to find a gadget we could all relate to.

If this health care law that the president and the Democrats pushed on us is so great, why do certain people (especially those who donated to the president’s campaign and strong-armed for “reform”) keep getting waivers so they don’t have to abide by it?

Three local chapters of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), whose political action committee spent $27 million supporting Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election, have received temporary waivers from a provision in the Obamacare law.

The three SEIU chapters include the Local 25 in Obama’s hometown of Chicago.

So far, the Obama administration has issued waivers to 222 entities, including businesses, unions and charitable organizations. Of that total, 45 were labor organizations.

This do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do stuff is really going to come back and bite the president because few of us made the kind of protection money (contributions) to his campaign that would entitle us to any kind of special treatment. It’s so in our face now, it’s past insulting.

So, former Speaker Pelosi could care less what the American people wanted, which we already knew. And don’t think her use of the word “violence” wasn’t intentional. Maddow will be slowly repeating that word for the next two weeks.

We were saying this for over a year now, but the academic elites in the White House and intellectual heavyweights on Capitol Hill went and passed a law forcing us all to buy something from them under penalty of law. We told them they couldn’t do it.

A federal court ruled Monday that a central plank of the health law violates the Constitution, dealing the biggest setback yet to the Obama administration’s signature legislative accomplishment.

In a 42-page ruling, U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson said the law’s requirement that most Americans carry insurance or pay a penalty “exceeds the constitutional boundaries of congressional power.”

We told them we weren’t cars, but they didn’t listen and their arrogance rightfully cost many of them their elected office.

I guess you won’t have to worry about people borrowing and/or stealing your cellphone.
