After all of Hollywood’s Iraq movies have flopped (even the Oscar-garlanded “The Hurt Locker” earned only $15 million at the box office), one studio thinks it has the following secret to success: The previous films didn’t insult the United States enough. “Green Zone,” opening Friday, is a $100 million slime job that conjures up a fantastically distorted leftist version of the war and wraps it around a frantic but preposterous action picture.

We’re supposed to cheer for include Sunni officers who shoot down helicopters carrying American soldiers sent to assassinate them.

It must be nice to create products deemed important, that continue to flop, suffer few public repercussions, and still get paid.

Don’t try this at home.

Muntazer al-Zaidi – who became a national hero in Iraq after hurling his footwear at the then US president last year – was speaking at a press conference to promote his campaign for victims of the Iraq war when a man threw a shoe at him. Zaidi ducked and the shoe hit the wall behind him. Film footage showed that a scuffle then broke out in the audience. “He stole my technique,” Zaidi said afterwards.

Not to worry, Munty. There are a lot of people who’d want to practice your technique if you would be the target.

This reminds me of the opening scene of Blazing Saddles…

What white Democrat would ever stick his neck out and attempt such potentially suicidal actions as has been demanded by the left of Barack Obama (and they have been very demanding)?

Bill Clinton (early into his first term) wasn’t stupid enough to attempt a takeover of one-sixth of the United States’ economy.

He got his wife to do it.

She was a woman, thus deemed untouchable by the media and opposition. We all know what happened after that and other screw-ups: Democrats lost control of the House and Senate.

No politician was stupid enough to try that again…

Barack Obama’s only crime is that he’s allowed himself to be used by a chicken-shit, white progressive movement that would never politically martyr one of their own to the extent they have this president.

Would Al Gore or John Kerry ever attempt all the things Obama’s supporters have demanded of him in eleven months of his first term? I think not, but as liberals have little respect for black people, it’s no surprise they would use the first black president to get what they want as Barack Obama is less than garbage to them.

Don’t get me wrong; it takes two to tango and they needed to find a black person who was willing to sell his soul (and they did). Barack Obama and his family are living large, a small price to pay for being a willing dupe who’d throw out a long-term future in politics for one short term in the big house. Will he live large later? Sure, he’ll get paid, but for now he’s doing what he’s told, reading what’s written for him to say, and he’ll push the radical agenda as far as he can. The left will play the race card as his cover, and they’ll get their way without losing one prominent white Democrat. At least that was the plan until Pelosi, Reid and others strayed from the playbook.

Look at the last presidential election. Barack Obama told us (for the most part) what he wanted to do, and the patronizing mainstream media lauded him for his courage. How many former presidential candidates ever made the socialist promises Barack Obama did (aside from Dennis Kucinich and Sheila Jackson-Lee types)? And speaking of Sheila Jackson-Lee and Barbara Lee types, the black Democrats who usually get the most attention from the liberal wing are the ones who say and do the most ridiculous things; things very few white Democrat officeholders would in public.

Democrats love using black people. Every two years, Sharpton and Jackson have to remind Democrats not to take the black vote for granted. Every two years, blacks vote 9:1 for Democrats and the same shit they were complaining about two years ago still ain’t fixed. Whether government should be expected to help anyone is a discussion for a later date, but the fact remains liberals don’t respect black people and continue to use them for any political advantage they can get.

However our nation looks a month from now, six months from now, years from now, remember that we’ve seen our nation transformed in a way none of us could ever imagine, and given the way black people are portrayed by the left, no black person will ever be trusted with this kind of power again. Liberals will have gotten their way and they didn’t have to lose any of their horses at all.

President Barack Obama is slated to deliver a prime-time address on Tuesday night in which he’ll lay out his plans for the American war in Afghanistan. But the administration may also face an unforeseen enemy as it lays out its long-awaited plans. And they are loud and they are legion: We’re talking about preschoolers and their parents.

That’s because ABC-TV was scheduled to present its annual screening of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” at 8 p.m. And we don’t know about you, but that show is pretty sacrosanct around our house and not to be trifled with lightly.

Therefore, children should me made aware of the fact that in the era of Obama, nothing is more sacrosanct than he, and not accommodating his schedule is something not to be trifled with lightly.

But Barack Obama’s presidency is all about show and to give himself that right look, he’ll tell the world (and the Taliban) how he plans on winning it and he’s using our soldiers as his props.

This man who dithered for days about four Somali pirates in a lifeboat has dithered for months over a very clear-cut operational decision. That’s right, – this doesn’t even rise to the level of strategy. Our strategy should be pretty clear – crush al Qaeda. Eliminate the Taliban if necessary so that Afghanistan does not revert to the 18th Century again.

You won’t see that Tuesday night. Instead you’ll see a grandiose exercise in narcissism. Stagecraft is mandatory so he’ll broadcast from our Military Academy at West Point, likely using a color-coordinated selection of cadets as a backdrop.

This is the clear difference between progressives and conservatives. At least Bill Clinton was honest when he wrote (as a youth) he “loathed” the military. Obama may not loathe them, but he’ll use them and those overseas waiting for him to make up his mind.

I’m not talking about the now-very cheesy 1968 sci-fi flick that freaked me out as a child.

No, I’m talking about the green slime environmentalists who ridiculed anyone who didn’t get in line and give their homage to the all things green. We were told to conserve, recycle, change our way of life and save the planet. We were told to abide by environmentalist narcissism and buy into the fact that people were more powerful than Mother Nature. We were told we more than capable of destroying something we could never create, and if we didn’t drop everything and go green now, we’d all die horrifying deaths.

(And it’s a real shame we have to rely on foreign press to get information on this scandal.)

We’re talking about people who had no conscience about perpetuating a lie, even when it meant knowingly sending innocent little kids to bed crying, just to be woken by nightmares not based on fact but by a desire to make everyone conform to a way of life the elites wouldn’t live, but all of us would be forced to live under so a few could make serious amounts of money.

Yes, this (in the end) is all about money. It’s quite ironic that the same environmentalists who accuse oil companies of greed, are themselves propagating a scam to make themselves the rule makers of a global warming bank where the rest of us only make forced deposits.

Those of us (previously called deniers) who didn’t get sucked into the sham don’t want to see the world polluted unnecessarily. But we don’t wish to be held hostage to quack science now known to be a lie. Unfortunately, we’re also dealing with people who’ll never admit they were wrong while everything around them points to the fact they were. Just ask those who voted for Barack Obama and are now jobless and broke.

When it comes to global warming and climate change, there are people I just don’t wish to hear from ever again.

GREEN SLIME: AL GORE
If I was an environmental activist, the first tip-off would wouldn’t get in people’s face and debate the issues. This man managed to win a Nobel Peace Prize, Academy and Grammy Award, all without showing any kind of leadership (guts) and take on all comers when it came to defending the planet. He conveniently declared all debate on the matter closed; not because it was but because he was a hustler and a coward.

GREEN SLIME ENVIRONMENTALISTS AND “SCIENTISTS”
I’ve questioned both their knowledge of the topic as well as their motives when after all the years of issuing blame for the impending doom caused by global warming, there’s one thing they consistently omit from responsibility: The Sun.

That immediately told me they weren’t interested in the truth because they blew off the most obvious. A five-year-old could consider The Sun a cause of warming. Full grown environmentalists seemed to lack the common sense of a child, so why would we place the future of our world economy in the hands of these clueless saps?

GREEN SLIME POLITICIANS
Carol Browner of Obama’s EPA doesn’t care about the emails that not only prove the so-called climate scientists fudged their findings towards desirable results, considered destroying evidence sought under the UK Freedom of Information Act, and ostracized anyone who questioned findings they knew were manipulated. It’s more important to move forward with cap-and-trade policies that will cripple the United States economy and make his Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers carbon-credit-trader partners very rich.

Any elected official (given the recent revelations) who recites the global warming-climate change scam should be recalled and/or impeached. The debate is over when it comes to the motives of any politician that pushes this. Either that person is ignorant, arrogant enough to dismiss any chance they were wrong, or have something politically or financially to gain by parroting a lie.

They’ve already forced many communities to separate their garbage into multicolored bins just to make themselves appear “smart”. Such separation is not cost saving, but that makes environmentalists feel good about themselves (and that’s all that matters).

GREEN SLIME HOLLYWOOD ELITES
In their on-going quest to be considered relevant, celebrities have given their time and money to make us more aware of apocalyptic demise they they could never prove. It was all about their being the ones to tell us, and that’s all that need be said on the topic. Very few of Hollywood actors, actresses, singers, producers, and directors have little experience in the scientific community. They consider themselves experts when they play relevant roles or sing of saving the world.

With that, they invade our homes with promotions and expect we should all fall in the environmentalist line because they say so. We may be personally and financially affected by green policies, but the Hollywood elite never seem to be bound by the rules they’d see inflicted on the rest of us. When they tell us to drive little hybrids, they drive drunk down Santa Monica Boulevard in brand new SUVs. While they tell us to conserve electricity, they leave the lights on in their ten-bedroom Bel Air mansions when they go away for a month. While they tell us to fly commercial and leave a smaller carbon footprint, they fly around in private jets because they’re too important to wait in line with the rest of us.

They’ll use more water, power, and leave more waste behind because they believe they’re better than us and deserve those little perks.

GREEN SLIME ENTERTAINMENT
With the revelation that fraudulent science is behind the global warming-climate change scare, I will personally have greater contempt for any network that tints their logos green to remind us that they’re more enlightened than their mere customers.

They should spare us the message programming and public service announcements telling us how to be more responsible wards of our planet, because not only do we know it’s all bullshit, but talking down to us like we’re stupid further repels us from your product.

GREEN SLIME EDUCATORS
These people are even more cowardly than Al Gore.

It’s one thing to try to indoctrinate someone my age about all this global warming crap. Some of us were around when scientists were screaming “global cooling” just a couple of decades ago. Some of us know where to go when it comes to seeking the other side of an argument. But it must take real guts to show elementary school children pictures of polar bears playing on ice sculptures and tell them they’re on melting icebergs and will soon drown.

It must take real guts for teachers to tell high school and college students to go protest on the streets (where they may get arrested), but these teachers are seldom there with their students. It must take real courage to issue one-sided presentations to the very young and impressionable; even more courage to use the authoritative nature of the student-teacher relationship to create little environmentalists base on junk science, just to bolster a political, redistributive agenda.

The days of being guilted green are over (and with a great sense of irony) this battle evolve into a second phase where the believers have become the deniers.

The Sun.

Global warming appears to have stalled. Climatologists are puzzled as to why average global temperatures have stopped rising over the last 10 years. Some attribute the trend to a lack of sunspots, while others explain it through ocean currents.

At least the weather in Copenhagen is likely to be cooperating. The Danish Meteorological Institute predicts that temperatures in December, when the city will host the United Nations Climate Change Conference, will be one degree above the long-term average.

Thank God.

But don’t tell those little kids who’ll go to bed crying tonight about drowning polar bears, or the teachers who’ll spend a few class hours each week telling their students how they can help heal the planet by ratting on their inconsiderate parents, or the young supermodels who stripped on video for a cause that is bogus (and the wet dreams of 360.org boys), or the television network that tinted its logo and programming green, or the Hollywood intelligentsia that’s been suckered into putting their own dollars into the scam, the Motion Picture Academy that got Milli Vanillied by Al Gore, and I could go on.

And whatever you do, don’t tell President Obama. You know how he gets if he thinks he doesn’t look good.

Obama walked down the last ramp by himself in a choreographed moment for photographers. White House aides were exultant afterward that “the shot” they had planned turned out perfectly.

Oh, and don’t forget that one-in-six Americans are still looking for work while soldiers are still awaiting reinforcements in Afghanistan. But don’t let us ‘ordinary people’ detract from your moment.

The Taliban has warned the United States of more attacks like the Fort Hood shooting rampage unless Washington ends its policies in Afghanistan and Iraq, the SITE Intelligence Group said today.

So much for the “lone wolf” mantra.

“The recent attack on the military base in Texas warns that if the occupation policy of the American rulers continues in this way, without them folding the carpets of occupation and transgression in Afghanistan and Iraq, it is natural then that incidents and attacks similar to Texas will spread to the Pentagon and other American military centres,” the message said.

“According to media reports, the hero of the attack is a Muslim psychiatrist and major in the American army, of Palestinian origin,” said the message posted on jihadist forums, SITE said.

So what do we do? Profile and seek out those who would kill more people, OR sit back and not hurt the feelings of those who would do us harm…?

Paratrooper’s Mom Begs Obama: ‘End It’
As family and friends mourn a fallen U.S. paratrooper on Veteran’s Day, his mother made an emotional plea to President Barack Obama that it’s time to either bring home the troops or end the war in Afghanistan.

“It’s time we do something. This has gone on too long. They either need to come home or we need to end it,” a tearful Denise Sherman said.

I wonder why WCVB Boston would opt to leave that segment out…?

Like most things, it sounded good during the campaign. But never did we think (at least back then) that a campaign promise would be blown off, and in doing so, much needed supplies for our soldiers in a war zone would be siphoned off to glorify egotistical, political legacies.

Senators diverted $2.6 billion in funds in a defense spending bill to pet projects largely at the expense of accounts that pay for fuel, ammunition and training for U.S. troops, including those fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to an analysis.

Among the 778 such projects, known as earmarks, packed into the bill: $25 million for a new World War II museum at the University of New Orleans and $20 million to launch an educational institute named after the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat.

It’s hard to say that these politicians are blatantly ignoring the health and welfare of our young men facing a determined enemy, but what we say and what we’re thinking can be two totally different things altogether.

This year, hundreds of thousands of ordinary people in Iran braved ferocious official violence to demand their right to vote and to speak freely. Dozens were killed, thousands imprisoned. One of those killed was a young woman named Neda Agha-Soltan; her shooting by thugs working for the Islamist theocracy, captured on video, moved the world. A posthumous award for Neda, as the avatar of a democratic movement in Iran, would have recognized the sacrifices that movement has made and encouraged its struggle in a dark hour. Democracy in Iran would not only set a people free, it would also dramatically improve the chances for world peace, since the regime that murdered her is pursuing nuclear weapons in defiance of the international community.

Imagine that. People risking all for “hope” and “change”, contrasted by those who felt good about cosmetic “hope” and “change” they risked little to achieve.

Announcing Friday that he would accept the award, Mr. Obama graciously offered to share it with “the young woman who marches silently in the streets on behalf of her right to be heard even in the face of beatings and bullets.” But the mere fact that he avoided mentioning either Neda’s name or her country, presumably out of consideration for the Iranian regime with which he is attempting to negotiate, showed the tension that sometimes exists between “diplomacy and cooperation between peoples” on the one hand, and advocacy of human rights on the other. The Nobel Committee could have spared Mr. Obama this dilemma if it had given Neda the award instead of him.

Her death (in plain view of the world) became what symbols are supposed to be: motivational by the very nature of shared sacrifice.

Something of which Barack Obama seems incapable.

Oh, and by the way… Three Iranian protestors face death penalty

President Barack Obama wanted to hold court with LeBron James. He made do yesterday with Cabinet officials and lawmakers.

In perhaps the most exclusive after-work, backyard basketball game ever, the president recruited players from the ranks of the executive branch and Congress to play on the converted tennis court on the White House’s South Lawn.

I’m sure our soldiers are comforted their sacrifices are not in vain and the president is using his time wisely to plan their victory and safe passage home.

He’ll grow up to be one outstanding, Indian liberal.
