Despite the fact that those in the “consensus” of weather experts themselves admit (albeit in illegally hacked and released emails) their science is dangerously flawed, the media by their silence, opportunistic politicians, and fanatical “global warming” activists continue their crusade to alter our everyday behavior just so they don’t have to admit they were not only wrong, but suckas.

A HEADTEACHER got a roasting yesterday for turning the school heating OFF on one of the coldest days of the year — to save the planet. Pupils shivered in coats, hats and scarves as temperatures fell to just 1°C (34°F).

Head Rob Benzie switched off the radiators to show how the secondary school could cut its carbon footprint. But some staff and parents slammed the “barbaric” plan.

But Mr Benzie, 52, defended the “successful” experiment last Friday — locally the coldest day of the winter so far — and vowed to stage regular “eco-days” at the 640-pupil school.

As usual, no matter how many are inconvenienced or maybe harmed by their activities, liberals refuse to admit they just may be in the wrong. After all, it’s for the children.

As the Congressional hearing on the failed solar energy manufacturer Solyndra gets under way, it’s already clear that the Obama administration is prepared to fall back on a tried and tested strategy: blaming Bush.

But Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Fla., chairman of the oversight subcommittee that is conducting the Solyndra investigation, said that there’s a problem with that version of events. “In reality, on January 9, 2009 — at the end of the Bush administration — the DOE Credit Committee voted against offering a conditional commitment to Solyndra, saying that the deal was premature and questioning its underlying financial support,” Stearns said in his opening statement. “Only after Obama took control, and the stimulus passed, was the Solyndra deal pushed through.”

It’s not only sad the president and his staff insist on acting like spoiled children incapable of admitting a mistake, but they also have an electorate of millions reciting the same no matter how wrong.

During an interview on Current TV with Alex Bogusky, Al Gore compares climate change skeptics to segregationist racists. Al would know considering his father, Albert Gore, Sr., (while supporting the Voting Rights Act of 1964) voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Act. It was okay for blacks to vote FOR Sr., just not sit at the same lunch counter with him.

Not a good talking point for Al Jr., then again we know the race card is the last refuge of a desperate liberal hustler.

For the next couple of weeks, environmental activists will converge on the White House to protest a proposed oil pipeline that will stretch from Canada to Texas. The activists plan to be really loud and annoying and hopefully get arrested in order to draw attention to their cause. B-actor Mark Ruffalo, the spiritual leader of the movement is scheduled to join the rally next week, but for the time being the protest has largely been populated with aging hippies who are calling for President Obama to put the kibosh on the pipeline which they claim will add to global warming. Of course, the pipeline will also likely lead to a lot of new jobs, but far be it for the environmental movement to concern themselves with 9% unemployment. Then-Senator Obama forecast the bankrupting of coal plants in order to advance his green agenda. Fast forward to 2011: promise kept.

Over the next 18 months, the Environmental Protection Agency will finalize a flurry of new rules to curb pollution from coal-fired power plants. Mercury, smog, ozone, greenhouse gases, water intake, coal ash—it’s all getting regulated. And, not surprisingly, some lawmakers are grumbling.

Industry groups such the Edison Electric Institute, which represents investor-owned utilities, and the American Legislative Exchange Council have dubbed the coming rules “EPA’s Regulatory Train Wreck.” The regulations, they say, will cost utilities up to $129 billion and force them to retire one-fifth of coal capacity. Given that coal provides 45 percent of the country’s power, that means higher electric bills, more blackouts and fewer jobs.

After returning from our day of asking Capitol Hill tourists about the government mandated phase out of incandescent light bulbs that begins in 2012, we got a first hand lesson in how the government expects Americans to handle the impending switch.

As Dan Joseph got out of the car in the MRC garage, he dropped the CFL that was used as a visual aid during the shoot. CFL’s contain Mercury which can be dangerous to humans is they are exposed to it.

One might think that taking specific safety measures when disposing of broken light bulb is a bit alarmist, but as it turns out the very same government that is mandating the sale of the CFL also has endorsed a long series of steps that need to be taken to ensure that your family survives in case an individual breaks one of the bulbs.

After receiving no response from light bulb disposal experts at the EPA, Dan took it upon himself to follow the government guidelines to the best of his ability and save MRC from impending catastrophe.

I did some quick checking and this appears to be a true story.

The Sierra Club and the U.S. Forest Service were presenting an alternative to the Wyoming ranchers for controlling the coyote population. It seems that after years of the ranchers using the tried and true method of shooting or trapping the predators, the Sierra Club had a “more humane” solution to this issue.

Of course.

What they were proposing was for the animals to be captured alive. The males would then be castrated and let loose again. This was ACTUALLY proposed by the Sierra Club and by the U.S. Forest Service. All of the ranchers thought about this amazing idea for a couple of minutes.

Finally an old fellow in the back of the conference room stood up, tipped his hat back and said; “Son, I don’t think you understand our problem. These coyotes ain’t fuckin’ our sheep… they’re eatin’ ‘em!”

The meeting never really got back to order.

I can see why.

Australian climate scientists are paying a steep price for their work, as opponents of Australia’s proposed tax on carbon emissions have embraced an attack the messenger strategy. More than 30 researchers told the Canberra Times that they have received emails “threatening violence, sexual assault, public smear campaigns and attacks on family members.” In response, several universities are reported to have moved targeted researchers into more secure buildings.
