The left is (again) confused ElinorRose Marine veteran ordered to remove American flag from his yard Because of ONE neighbor… While I’m all for not restricting a veteran or any other citizen from displaying the flag, this headline is based on a false premise. This small Florida town has not ordered this man to not display the flag. This town allows residents to erect flagpoles and fly the American flag. The municipal building codes, however, require that prior to the installation a flagpole of the height and anchorage that this man erected, he must first obtain a work permit and the installation has to meet certain structural requirements. The town is working with him to figure out how to solve the problem and is allowing him keep flying the flag during the 30 day appeals period. While it’s possible the “anonymous” neighbor had “unpatriotic” motives, this story falsely accuses the town of not letting him fly the American flag. For whatever reasons, this man failed to obtain a permit before making a structural improvement to property he rents. Now that the building inspectors have informed him that he should have obtained a permit (which will cost him money) he is acting as if this code enforcement is solely to suppress him from flying the American flag. aelfheld Obama administration moves ahead with sweeping rules requiring cleaner gasoline Excuse me, but what happened to jobs being his priority? But they are! Do you have any idea how many jobs these rules will eliminate? RightSide Obama: killing jobs one gallon at a time… Palmetto “Marine veteran ordered to remove American flag from his yard Because of ONE neighbor…” Yep, that’s exactly how prayer in school started — one person. “Why Walmart’s shelves are empty Wal-Mart is ghetto. Target has better service and selection: simple” It’s a definite stocking problem at my Wal-Mart. When I couldn’t find an item in the meat department, I was told by one of the employees it was one of their most popular products. Now if you have a popular product, wouldn’t you think you would make sure that block of space was filled (or at least devote more space to it than for a half dozen of the item)? Fifteen minutes later, he brought out what I wanted. When I needed just a simple emory boards, again blank space with exactly two emory boards — no choice. And should you need a popular beer, be prepared for another 15 minute wait (after you finally find an employee to track it down and bring it out). I was glad to see the greeters disappear a few years ago, but obviously they didn’t put them to work stocking the shelves. “Supremely Tiresome: The Gay Marriage Issue Is Inescapable On TV, Radio, Facebook” It’s to the point where I just want it to end and get it out of my face. Of course, there will be no good ending to this and in a few years the courts will be clogged with “gay divorces” and child custody cases to say nothing of all the unintended consequences that are sure to arise.. Tallyman In re: Walmart. Walmart doesn’t exist to provide jobs and hiring more workers doesn’t produce more sales. The percentage of people employed in the US is dropping and the majority of new jobs created are low paying jobs. More low paid jobs are replacing higher paid jobs = less income to spend. The EBT cards of those former employed are usually spent at the beginning of each month and Walmart cannot hire workers for only one week per month. 71% of the US economy is household spending. The fault lies with the government planners and our dear leader.. The Arab Spring’s weeds would choke the internet.
