The same goes living in flood prone areas or along the East Coast from Virginia all the way to Key West. If you live there long enough, mother nature will catch you when you don’t expect it. If I planned on living in tornado country, my home would be constructed or reinforced concrete. The initial cost would be considerable higher but your home would survive with minor damage at most. Being a structural engineer would be a plus, but there are thousands that are capable of building such a structure. The same goes for hurricane prone areas. Flood plains are not a good place to build a home period. I think climate change & severe weather has more to do with sunspot activity than it does events caused by man. These events were happening long before humans arrived & is part of normal events in nature. Man will never control the weather, as many can’t even control themselves. Igor I think climate change & severe weather has more to do with sunspot activity than it does events caused by man. The data directly correlates, so I would say that’s a given. Man will never control the weather, as many can’t even control themselves. Money Quote. Koala The Native Americans wouldn’t camp in areas where tornados and lightning hit the ground. In fact, the principal cause for loss of human life and property loss due to extreme weather is because of locating in high risk but desirable areas. The “environmentalists” are nothing if inconsistent. - – - Where’s the outrage from Al, Jesse, and the Panthers? Was it intra-racial violence? There is no profit or power to be reaped in saving their own. - – - Everything he does serves to disenfranchise American citizens. This seems to be a behavior common to the “American” left. - – - Time’s Joe Klein Says the Election Isn’t About Obama’s Record Oh yes it is. It is about imposing progressive obstacles to domestic resource recovery and development, his effort to denigrate individual dignity, his support for elective abortion of developing human life, and so many other policies which sponsor corruption. - – - Silverman is demented if she doesn’t understand what “pro-choice” actually represents. Unfortunately, she is not alone in either her ignorance or demand for instant and self-gratification. - – - I’m pregnant – woman’s search for father Well, I assume every individual possesses an inherent dignity; but, the evidence suggests that is not a universal characteristic. - – - The Brits honor Washington by naming him as their greatest and most successful adversary. Americans demonstrate the same respect for their enemies, including some American Indians. - – - Brazil Cannibal Sect Makes Human-Filled Empanadas If we assume human lives are without an inherent dignity (e.g. processed by incidental features, subject to elective abortion) then this behavior is normal. America is rotting from the head, but it didn’t start there. We need to reject policies which sponsor corruption of individuals, families, and society. aelfheld Monsters In The Classroom: NYC Teachers Union Reinstates Alleged Molesters It’s for the sake of the children.
