    Guy obviously snapped, “shell shock” (old term) or “combat fatigue” (newer term) would certainly apply in the defense of this guy.  I’m sorry he took it out on the women & children (they have a hard enough life over there) instead of the local men. (I’m not going to say what he should have “gone postal” on, I leave it to the B&R readers to fill in the blanks.)

      Health Care provision is indeed broken. For the reason you cited, but also due to unreasonable expectations. People seem to think because it’s possible it should also be universal. In a world where resources have finite availability and accessibility this perception is incompatible with reality. Both factors have contributed to progressive corruption and deferred accountability.

      Then there is an example where in New York a doctor offered basic health care provision for a fixed amount periodically. His efforts were rejected by the state’s insurance board. I don’t recall the reason given, but assuming he was, in fact, a doctor and in good standing, then there does not seem to be any legitimate reason to prevent him offering service to his patients directly.

        I remember this story, he was offering his practice by membership about like a fitness club. Unlimited services for a low monthly fee. The state of New York wasn’t having any of that.

    Marriage is derivative from God or nature’s order. From the same order it is exclusively between a man and a woman expressly for the purpose of conceiving and raising children. The other attributes ascribed to marriage over the years are ancillary and do not change its original purpose. With a monogamous relationship it also has a beneficial effect where it controls the presence and spread of STDs, including HIV. It is generally a construct which incidentally, but with good reason, serves to mitigate biological, social, and fiscal risk.

    You may have revealed the true war on women,n.n. Motherhood  will be completely removed from the home in a similar way that fathers have, and children will be raised by the state because parents must work. Besides, the government will know what’s best for the children. Islam! AH HA! [ Just kidding about that last part.

      I am not the first to notice the unique and important position occupied by a mother. Some cultures, for example, Judaism, define their lineage through the mother. It is the mother which ensures propagation of historical heritage, including philosophy. The father’s role is complementary, but at least in the early, weaning years, our contribution is secondary.
