In regard MLK, I repeat my comment: I knew and spoke with MLK and he was a big man, not in physical size, but in the power of his speech, in his quick intelligent responses to questions, and in his power to lead. Many of the black leaders of today are none of the above. Sharpton, Jackson, Rangel, Clyburn, and Waters are fancy pimps profiting from the degenerates trapped in the programs they represent. MLK’s dream wasn’t “large ghettos,” with black “Simon Legrees” exploiting the lives therein. MLK advocated “Christian ideals.” MLK wanted better education and schools for all children, not schools that fail. MLK supported and worked with Republicans, not Democrats. The issue in lobbying Congress in 1962 and 1963 was to get some or any Democrat support.
“Free at last,” is awaiting the freedom to choose the school for your children. Free at last from the moronic leaders foisted by the progressive media. What is Sharpton’s or Jackson’s or Clyburn’s dream for you: take this government grant; when you screw up, come back and I’ll give you more. They’re aging parents who never want their children to grow up or they’re even, take this dog biscuit and go fetch.
Romney, McCain, Boehner, the Bushs are conservative leaders like Sharpton, Rangel, Clyburn and Waters are Black leaders. Those RINOs are moronic leaders foisted on us by the progressive media; they stand for nothing but compromise with progressivism or half way down their road and no way down the conservative route..
Thanks, Tallyman. Nothing to add.
Tebow’s story harshed their dream of physical instant gratification at the expense of a human life they voluntarily conceived. His life is a constant reminder that they, once again, hesitate to assign universal dignity, thereby devaluing all human life.
MLK Day – Bob, thanks, quite an astute interpretation of that, I think. My wife and I were discussing, this morning, how far from that dream the “executors” of MLK’s legacy have taken it, Jackson, Sharpton, et al.
Joint drill with Israel – Oh heavens, we don’t want to incite Iran… heaven forbid. Wait, don’t we incite them just by our sheer existence? Never mind, carry on, better to piss them off and be ready than, not be ready; they’ll be pissed off regardless.
Lightsquared/GPS – gee, I wonder who’ll win this one: the one with the greasiest palm? Zero certainly has little regard for “the people” who might depend on GPS, and no regard for the military. I’ll be surprised if Lightsquared doesn’t get the go-ahead.
Stolen house – Where’s the bank in all this?! It seems it would be in their best interest to boot the OWS slugs, too; they can’t be doing anything that would benefit the value of the house! That said, if the guy was already out of the house on the basis of foreclosure, it had already progressed to a point where he was unlikely to pull that rabbit out of the hat (this is from my experience with friends who’ve gone through this horrible scenario). Once the bank says “get out”, you’re done. However, if the guy DID have claim to the house (presumably so, due to the story hitting the news), if the bank is tacitly supporting OWS and not helping to boot them out; I’d say that the bank needs to change the paperwork to them and absolve me of that loan. I’m just sayin’…. (not gonna happen, but still; fair’s fair)
Arab crime – Bob, indeed, all due to one particular arab from way back; same goes for “honor” killings, beheadings, and the like. However, the article is poorly written. I’m not sure if there’s a translation issue or what. On one hand it says, “In efforts to fight the soaring crime rates…”, yet goes on to say, “Nevertheless, the crime rates referring to the Arab sector have remained at a steady rate for years.” OK, is that to say that crime rates have been “steadily soaring for years”? All the crime stats are referenced in percentages, so are basically meaningless with no reference point. Also to say that a majority of crimes committed in the “Arab Sector” are committed by Arabs seems rather like a “duh” sort of comment; maybe I just don’t understand the local dynamics, quite likely.
Tebow – Alright, kudos to the guy for standing for his faith, etc. … are we done yet? He’s a football player. His personal life really doesn’t make a hill of beans difference to me. My handle might indicate some indifference, being neither a FL fan nor a Broncos fan. But really. Admittedly, I’m just not a big football fan in general (nearly heresy around here). This comes in on my “concern-o-meter” about at the same level as Jeneane Garofalo’s political commentary: nada. To paraphrase Frank Zappa: “Shuddup and play football”. I’d say the same to Garofalo, but she’s not funny… she can just shut up, far as I’m concerned.
