I am becoming more and more convinced that we should just grab these people and airdrop them over NK so they could live in the world they desire so much…

    • PB-in-AL says:

Fboiteau, I like that idea. How about we provide 53% of them parachutes, in memory of how many actually pay taxes, and let them sort out the “distributive fairness”. Then with only one warning, “open the bombay doors, Hal.” (apologies to Arthur Clark).

    • Koala says:

That’s the way I feel too. Why don’t they just move to Cuba, Venezuela, China, North Korea or any of those other places that embrace the lifestyle of their desire.

      • n.n says:

Insufficient capital to confirm their theories are flawed.

Besides, they don’t need to move to a nation controlled by a left-wing regime in order to observe the flaws in their policies, since they are clearly evident in America.

Well, as I have stated on many occasions, the problems are comprehensive, and their contribution is unproductive to discovery of a solution.

I would go so far as to say that they manufacture problems to which they subsequently offer solutions at a profit.

  2. n.n says:

The problem with left-wing ideology is when you get an individual or a group who suffer from delusions of grandeur. Under a left-wing regime, the competing interests are marginalized and eviscerated. The result is an inability to hold authoritarian interests accountable (short of a revolution) for the inevitable exhibitions of psychotic and other extreme behaviors. The left-wing ideologues are opportunists in the extreme as they seek to consolidate capital and power through authority. It is not a coincidence that left-wing regimes have been responsible for the greatest number of dead, injured, and dispossessed people throughout history and the world (the greatest number in the 20th century and in less than 100 years).

That said, corruption in the exception is sufficient to collapse a civilization. So, we should reject left-wing regimes, and be vigilant with any other. Whatever the system, the combination of a granted authority and involuntary exploitation (e.g., power of taxation) promotes progressive corruption of individuals and society. This situation is further exacerbated when elements of society, whether authoritarian or private, promote policies to denigrate individual dignity and devalue human life. There is a reasonable compromise between the natural and enlightened orders.

You should find and view the entire clip.

That woman actually even defends Che as not being a murderer.

    • n.n says:

It could be worse. She could think that Mao was an exemplary leader of the people. At least Che was a small potato head.

Power to the people! Reject Marxism, communism, socialism, fascism, and other ideologies which advocate for consolidation of capital and power through authority.

There are reasonable compromises of individual dignity. They cannot be progressive and especially generational.

I don’t want to hijack this thread, but humor comes in many forms, including environmentalism.

The incredible story of bigger shrinking birds, courtesy of global climate change

They were small before they were big.

Think of the hundreds of thousands of birds which reach their mortal end as they fail to pass safely through the windmill gauntlet. Please think of all those dead birds, including bald eagles and other endangered species.

No. Wait. The bald eagle has officially recovered. Slaughter them. Slaughter them all!

Also, don’t forget to donate to your friendly neighborhood WWF in their effort to save the polar bears.

This reminds me of global warming which was global cooling which was global warming which became climate change which was and is a means to launder and redistribute taxpayer funds.

There is a hilarious comment by “Michael Palmer”, which I would summarize with

Proactive Evolution — It’s a matter of faith.

Obviously, the birds have formed a consensus and are evolving in anticipation of AGW/AGCC/”climate disruption” and its associated progressive tax burden. Well,. that, or they have decided they will no longer be whacked to death in the windmill gauntlet.

    Send in Godzilla!

I may have referenced this before, but I am going to keep bringing it up until the MSM recants.

Recently a Dallas Morning News official editorial quoted the SDS as did DFW Channel 11 news. There is a concerted effort to convince the US people that socialism and communism are such bad things.

I may have to start my own blog just to point out the way the DFW media is swinging hard left.

  7. Mommy RN says:

As a teen I was able to travel with my mother through Communist controlled Eastern Europe. We went in through Checkpoint Charlie and the stark difference between West and Easter Berlin was enough to show that we were in a different world. Traveling through Czechoslovakia and into Communist controlled Poland, we found what socialism does to people… she’s right… it wouldn’t be 25% of the people with “most of the money”… it would be closer to 10% with almost ALL of the money! Meeting with my cousins who were about my age who grew up in Poland was a huge eye-opener. Hell, my cousins were lucky just to be alive (my mother is half Polish Gypsy, half Polish Jew.) … The one thing I will say is that after dealing with first Nazi fascism and then Communism, my cousins were very tough (if very beaten down). Those little spoiled brat OWSers couldn’t handle a single day of the type of physical menial labor my cousins did daily just to survive.

    • n.n says:

I suppose that’s one positive attribute of left-wing ideology. It is an artificial substitute for natural selection. Although, it wasn’t simply a test of toughness, but an exaggerated emphasis of mutual value. The people who oppose the market system and the private holding of capital are not familiar with the regressive and inevitably degenerate system they support. It sounds good in theory; but, in reality, it is incapable of preserving individual dignity and it is especially vulnerable to devaluing human life.

We met a Russian Immigrant turned capitalist American at the Tea Party in West Chester, PA- in April 2009. He was not scheduled to speak, but did so when he was given the chance to, and he said- back then- what we know now is true- these folks just don’t understand how bad socialism is. He was passionate that we not let our country go down that path, and felt that the current politicans would lead us straight to hell. He spoke at length to the horrors of socialism, which is real and that he lived through. These lefties actually crave such a society, without realizing just how awful it will be. Honestly I don’t understand older generations not getting it, but I do understand that the younger ones have been indoctrinated, or at the very least have not been taught the facts. And I know that we have to be ever vigilant or socialism will be in our future.

    • n.n says:

There are better compromises when everyone knows their place in society. The desirable quality of our system is that our place is malleable (i.e., no caste system) throughout our lifetime. However, from the poorest to the richest, our free society and market system demands a basis in moral knowledge. It is insufficient to rely on reactive totalitarian policies and it is counterproductive to rely on proactive totalitarian policies.
