Bonehead Of The Day

Someone’s been eating too many of those pomegranates.

Mr. President, if their theory was right, with these huge (tax cuts) that took place during the Bush eight years, the economy should be thriving. These tax cuts have not helped the economy. The loss of eight million jobs during the Bush eight years, two wars started, unfunded, all on borrowed money, these tax cuts all on borrowed money — if the tax cuts were so good, the economy should be thriving.
Senator Harry Reid, Aug. 2 floor speech shortly before a vote on the final debt-ceiling bill

However, During Bush’s eight years in office — January 2001 to January 2009 — the nation actually gained a net 1.09 million jobs. (Because there were gains in government jobs, the private sector actually lost 653,000 jobs during that period.)”

Nap time, Harry.

Harry is like what…80 something? I think he got a bit of the Old-timers kicking in. He really should retire (and take crazy Pelosi and Wasserman with him).

I hope he takes Rangel, Waters, Durbin, Schumer & Bernie Sanders, too, tv!

This is hardly a "Senior Moment". Harry Reid is a fucking liar. Plain and simple.

two wars started, unfunded, all on borrowed money

I'm really tired of this line. Has there ever been a funded war? Even World War II was unfunded. There were constant war bonds drives (ie borrowed money). It almost sounds as if one day the president, any president says, "You know what? There's enough money in the budget to start a war! Let's start one!"

Reid should be delighted at the "Unfunded Wars" . After all, it was the "unfunded" Civil War that gave us the first Federal Income Tax, and the "unfunded" WW I that allowed the Democrats to give us the current progressive tax system.

Cannot call it dementia, because the mental capacity was never there. Pelosi, Reid, Washerwoman, or Biden never had an intelligent thought of their own. They read or try to remember what the Progressive catechism taught them. Lincoln had good advice for them: “It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.”
