Email Of The Day

I did some quick checking and this appears to be a true story.

The Sierra Club and the U.S. Forest Service were presenting an alternative to the Wyoming ranchers for controlling the coyote population. It seems that after years of the ranchers using the tried and true method of shooting or trapping the predators, the Sierra Club had a “more humane” solution to this issue.

Of course.

What they were proposing was for the animals to be captured alive. The males would then be castrated and let loose again. This was ACTUALLY proposed by the Sierra Club and by the U.S. Forest Service. All of the ranchers thought about this amazing idea for a couple of minutes.

Finally an old fellow in the back of the conference room stood up, tipped his hat back and said; “Son, I don’t think you understand our problem. These coyotes ain’t fuckin’ our sheep… they’re eatin’ ‘em!”

The meeting never really got back to order.

I can see why.

Now it all makes sense: population control. That is why they are so obsessed with birth control, sacrificing virginal human life, and normalizing deviant behaviors.

I can understand why humans would want to control the population of animals, especially predators; but, what possible explanation can they offer to impose the same controls on humans, who, I must assume, are the same species as their humanoid opponents. Some competing interests in this world are truly evil in their methods to achieve a superior position.

That's about the most succinct way anyone could have put it. If the liberals don't get it after that, they never will!

The Sierra Club & Forest Service idiots who proposed this hare-brained scheme are the ones who need castrating! That way, their hare brains won't be passed on to the next generation!

    BWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Idiot enviroweenies. Dumber'n a box of hammers.

And they demand respect for their idea, but then will ignore evidence contrary to their claims. Or they will suggest "consensus" is actually science. This all is the result of the poorest science and public affairs education in the world. They would not have got their degrees without the complicity of the educators as well. Idiots.

I don't get it… what was wrong with the way you were already handling it? or were the coyotes growing in numbers to the point that they were destroying your herds? But why castrate the males? It's the females that are having the babies, right? If you miss castrating even just ONE male, all the females could still get pregnant. I'm just trying to make sense of all this. Sierra was already trapping them and transporting them to a kennel, so why not, instead, transport them off someplace where they can live in peace without harming the herds? There are a gazillion acres of unfettered forest in the Appalations, so how about there? Then we could go there and shoot them during hunting season! And Sierra can not argue it wouldn't be cost effective.

Man Im jealous. I can't find enough Coyotes up here in ND. Especially when folks are paying 40-60 bucks a hide. I love that guys response though. That's some straight shooting froma mid-west rancher!

The Sierra Club and the US Forest Service – now one and the same. That's why I retired from the USFS in 2006.

There's more intellectual honesty and common sense under one old man's hat, than in those two organizations combined.

Of course, the feds (including the USFS and, by association, the SC) are doing both – with Obama at the helm, first, they f***ed us (stimulus, bailouts, TARP, Fannie/Freddie, Obamacare), and now they're trying to eat us!

    • mattbev says:

Who approved those bailouts/stimulus/annie and Freddie dollars? Obama was elected when? Take a look at those dates again and when all of that started.

    Don't know 'bout you, but I got a hankerin' for a big 'ol leg 'o lamb . . . .

My neighbors rounded up 2 wild female stray cats and their kittens, and took them to the Humane Society where they spay or neuter wild cats for free if you can catch them and bring them in. A few days later a van pulled up in front of their house and dumped the freshly spayed cats and kittens in their front yard.

  13. Nancy Kosling says:

I have three thoughts on dumping cats on anyone's property:
Sue the Humane Society for decreasing the value of your property, singly or in group action; or, and,
sue the Humane Society for inhumane treatment of animals (there is arrest and fines for this one); and or,
additonal file complaint with your local city attorney giving notice to pick up the cats at the city's own cost or to include them in a law suit; and or to right a letter to the editor of your newspaper to embarress the city and the Humane Society; and or bring out the light-weight 22 rifles and have cat season..
