I’m sorry that Glenn Beck is no longer doing More-on Trivia, the predictions were surprisingly accurate…

Think we’ll have football this year? I’m not overly optimistic.

    Igor

  2. tv2112 says:

    Damn Bob,
Aside from the Bills, Oakland, and Washington, the Pats have the roughest schedule I think they’ve had in decades! Better hope Brday doesn’t get broke again in the opener! Hopefully they play this season.

    • Igor says:

Personally, I’m wondering if the Seattle Seachickenhawks will show up to play this year.

Can you tell I love “my” team?

      Igor

      • Dave says:

And they still raise ticket prices Igor! Every year my seat gets more expensive, even when they play horribly. No different than the Ms though.
Worse they get, the higher the price. Kind of like government.

  3. IT Nerd says:

Ready for football? You betcha! Although I am hoping Peyton Hillis doesnt get hit with the Madden curse.

  4. Tallyman says:

Obama asked “mirror, mirror on the wall who’s the greatest leader of them all.” The mirror answered, “I lied to you before, because the teleprompter paid me, you should have asked who’s the dumbest least of them all and I’d say look straight ahead.”
Obama met the first little boy in Texas to speak up about the emperor.
Obama was banging his spoon at Breakfast and demanded Michelle defend him and tell the Donald to stop bullying him and Abercrombie.
Obama was whining that those ungrateful subjects should stop complaining about gas prices and realize Obama saving the planet is worth any price they have to pay.

  5. SoCalOilMan says:

On the “Flash Mob”, one site noted that it isn’t a real Flash Mob if you’ve met to choreograph the dance steps and bus everyone to the site.

Academic Rot: My boy wants to go to college when he gets out of the Army next year, so I sent him this article to point out what he is going to have to deal with.

Football: If it happens…I don’t think my Raiders have too bad of a schedule. We can’t avoid Denver or San Diego, but having the Browns, Lions and Texans, I was kind of optimistic for a change.

  6. eNeecie says:

    Teamster-Target-flash mob fail
Calling it a “Flash Mob” is extremely appropriate considering who was behind it.

I wonder how much merchandise walked out with this group, seeing how they overwhelmed any security by leaving in mass.

The thing I find most amazing about this video is how clueless the Professional Left really is. They keep insisting that the Tea Party is all astroturf paid for by the Koch brothers or some other secret rightwing organization. Then they proudly display their catered box lunches and lines buses at the beginning of the video. Do they know that does not help their case that they are fighting for the little guy?

Their little dance was a complete fail. Not only did it make you want to reach for the eye bleach–you couldn’t understand any of the lyrics. All I could understand was the line about Target not caring about me. I am not so pathetic as to desire that a department store “care” about me. I just want them to sell stuff I want to buy at a price I’m willing to pay. That’s as far as my relationship with Target goes. I don’t care if Target respects me in the morning–so to speak. ;)

In any case, I think they would be more effective and efficient if they went back to their old way and drop the pretense that they are doing this for the Target drivers. Just go to the owners and demand Protection Money. That way you don’t have to mess with union dues and all that. The money just goes directly into their bank accounts.

  7. Adrian says:

I’m optimistic, football will happen this year. My 49ers got jobbed. Over 29,000 miles of travel for the season. Unbelievable.

  8. eNeecie says:

    Texas prefers men with balls
    Yes, we do!

I am so proud of our local boy Brad Watson. How dare he interview the president as if he was a person and not a god.

I really hope that the Republicans learn something from this. It is something we have all known from the beginning. This president has skin as thick as an onion’s, all you have to do is prod him slightly and he lashes out. The MSM has done a pretty good job of hiding it in the past, but if you keep poking at him they can’t hide it forever. Eventually he will snap and have his beating the bunny moment.

  9. n.n says:

President Obama Vows to Bring Up Immigration Reform Again

Semantic games. It is amnesty, as in forgiving crimes against society. It represents a double-edged sword in placing the rights of aliens before citizens. It is a choice and should not be considered lightly.

Since the ACLU supports and protects illegal aliens, I would guess they, La Raza, MALDEF, and other civil rights businesses, don’t consider a selective rule of law as a civil rights violation. They also don’t consider conspiring with foreign governments and interests to subvert Americans’ civil rights as treasonous, or at least seditious. It is likely that their greatest concern rests with which mansion or luxury car they will purchase with their ill-gotten gains.

Egypt traffic dispute turns into sectarian brawl

Some people cannot be civil without a strong authority constraining their behavior.

A mob then ransacked a cafe owned by the lawyer and several homes of local Christians.

Wow. That sounds vaguely familiar. That method of intimidation was, and continues to be, practiced in America as well. Although, our lunatics prefer to route people through litigation.

  10. thinking says:

Ready for football? Only since 2/13, lol.
(I sure hope there is a season this year!)
“My” team’s pre-season starts 8/13, and I can hardly wait.
Until then, I will concern myself with more serious issues of the day.
Like what kind of shake-up is going to happen with air traffic controllers, now that something serious has (almost) actually happened to a “prominent lib”.

    Getting Piggy With It

Scranton Police Union Objects To Non-Union Police Chief Making Arrests

Unions (i.e., cooperatives or corporations) are inequitable and public unions (i.e., the illegal 4th branch of government) are downright dangerous.

It’s like they want to lose what little credibility remains.

  12. Nicolas says:

“Everybody’s asking what if he’s wrong. What if he’s right?”

    which he is

  13. n.n says:

France stops all Italian trains carrying north African immigrants

This is why overpopulation is a problem. There is a shortage of pioneers in this world.

The activists who facilitate displacing some individuals in favor of others, are incapable of comprehending land management. They have unilaterally decided that civil rights can be applied selectively and are completely indifferent to the lives and labor expended by the existing population, which is actually equivalent to the enslavement of a group of people in service to another. At least under the old systems, subversion was achieved through war, rather than through for-profit manipulation.

This is Marx’s rationalization of slavery realized. It is realized in exactly the manner Marx intended, which is an elite group of people rule through a tyranny of a minority. I wish they would just call themselves, emperors, kings, dictators, etc., and drop the inane pretense they continue to maintain.

They are nothing more than petty criminals pretending to be humanitarians. If only they were competent, then they would actually help people, instead of recycling and delegating their problems. This is a result of corruption they manufactured or ignored and to which they now offer solutions. That’s quite the scam.

  14. n.n says:

Liaquat Ali Khan: We Should Ban Koran Burning Because Muslims Are More Dangerous Than Veterans

A lot of people are having fun with this one. The best response is that Khan is justifying the wholesale expulsion of Muslims from America, because it would be insane to live next door to someone who would decapitate you, and your family, in order to protect the honor of his Koran.

If this ever gets legs and is either enforced through legislation or litigation, then I would suggest we expel both the Muslims and their enablers in the secular faith. If anything, the latter poses a greater danger to all people, religious or otherwise, since doctrines of the secular faith demand the denigration of individual dignity and the devaluation of human life. At least Islam is selective in its condemnation of infidels.

  15. n.n says:

Kloppenburg – Full Statewide Recount (“Kloppenburg’s Folly”)

Does this mean they can now drop the pretentious call to “think of the children”?

This is hilarious. She declared victory after AP (Associated Press) rendered the unofficial verdict of her winning by 204 votes.

Since the AP is responsible for this fiasco, they should be the ones who are responsible for the expense of conducting the recount. There is no legitimate reason why the taxpayers of Wisconsin should be forced to pay for AP’s incompetence or negligence.

Why is it that the taxpayer is always stuck with the bill? For the “scientists”, the lawyers, the teachers, the politicians… There is a long and shameful history of involuntary exploitation.
