  1. The Machine says:

    Dang.

Bob, time to get yer lawyer to issue Glenn the Cease and Desist letter…

  2. Uncle Rick says:

“As debt ceiling vote nears, the pressure’s on House Republican freshmen”

Memo to freshman Congresscritters: which of the people badgering you to change your minds about the debt ceiling helped get you elected? Which will help in 2012?

Memo to all the other Congresscritters: Why not conduct a Scientific Experiment on this and not raise the debt ceiling? Like we say in Texas, “If you always do what you always done, you’ll always git what you always got. If you want differnt, do differnt.” You do want a different – meaning “better” – economy, don’t you?

    From the article:
“The officials said they try to make clear to lawmakers that raising the debt limit does not spur new spending. Instead, it enables the government to pay off maturing debt, or spending obligations already made.”

There’s another way to do that: take the money away from other, non-essential budget items. You know, try something you haven’t done before. Maybe it’ll work. Nothing else you’ve done has.

  3. GoodMojo says:

“‘What Would You Expect From Kenyan Socialist With No Birth Certificate?’” – Eleanor Clift

    Exactly.

  4. n.n says:

Teachers’ Mumia Abu-Jamal Resolution Out of Sync Morally and Historically
    It wasn’t “murder-murder”.

I Repeat to the TrumkaObama Class War Cult: Go To Hell
Isn’t envy one of the 7 deadly sins? The human condition has never fundamentally changed.

Md. law granting illegals reduced tuition to cost millions
Mexican cartels setting up shop across U.S.

The DREAM Act… Displacing Americans at work, school, and throughout society. If only it stopped there.

Isn’t a selective rule of law some kind of civil rights violation? It’s odd that the ACLU and other “civil rights” businesses support this violation in principle and practice. Yes, quite odd.

Scientists want climate change early-warning system
It’s called the weatherman and he’s not all that reliable (except during summers in Los Angeles)
Scientists should use personal wealth to fund their intellectual toys.

The weather should be easier to predict as atmospheric disturbances follow the prevailing winds. It’s not until we consider a wider frame of reference that chaos starts to limit our accuracy as divergence becomes a greater factor.

    Detroit Moves Against Unions
layoff notices to the district’s 5,466 salaried employees, including all of its teachers

higher casino taxes and substantial cuts in city workers’ health care and pensions

I’ll predict that the unions and other Democrat businesses will not protest in Detroit, as they have been missing in other Democrat controlled cities.

I’ll also predict that the Democrat representatives will not flee to Illinois.

For some reason, they chose to make their stand in Wisconsin.

Detroit Federation of Teachers officials called the initiative a poor idea, in part because nine of the schools slated for conversion to charter designation or closure were recently given new dispensation to relax work rules and haven’t had enough time to demonstrate their progress, they said.
Hmm. Would neutral be considered progress versus regression?

  5. RockThisTown says:

    Holder’s 4G tax lax
This is getting old. How ’bout a good ‘ol fashioned sex scandal instead of repeated tax scandals?
Trump: I’m ‘much bigger’ than Romney
If you mean your ego, then yep, that’s probably correct.
Boondoggle in tax code: Subsidies for green energy
It’s the only way they can remain viable.
Dog the Bounty Hunter Bails Out Nicolas Cage
Come on, Nick, didn’t being The King’s son-in-law teach you anything? To keep the cops from messing with you, you’re supposed to rent the place where you get drunk & trash it!
Lowry Calls Obama Classless, Clift Asks ‘What Would You Expect From Kenyan Socialist With No Birth Certificate?’
Finally, Eleanor gets something correct, but then again, even a blind hog finds . . . aw, you know.
    Here Comes Inflation
At some point, Americans will stop consuming . . . . gas, cars, homes, appliances, etc. and they may even cut back on food and health care.
Senate budget chief open to using Ryan plan as ‘framework’
    This isn’t altruistic . . . he’s probably up for re-election soon.
Mexican cartels setting up shop across U.S.
Did anyone really think all the bad stuff the 12+ million people fled to the U.S. to get away from would stay there?
    Detroit Moves Against Unions
    Detroit has already moved . . . . . to other States.
Conservatives reach out to tea party
Better late than never, but the Tea party still won’t accept the status quo.
Scientists want climate change early-warning system
How about a scientist lie detector system instead?

  6. JP Kalishek says:

    Let’s see.
    Pro Gun Control
Pro confiscatory taxes (15% of all assets, not just income)
Pro Kelo style land grabs (well maybe the gov’t will gime his corps the property you know)
Pro Choice claiming to be pro life.
    Pro Single Payer health care
    Anti Free Market
    Pro high Tariff
    Isolationist

We need Trump like a hole in the head.
If his appeal is his attacks on 0bama, then Republicans should vote for LaRouche as he’s been attacking 0bama from day one.
I think I might prefer Mittens to Trump, but that’s like saying I’d prefer a severe case of flu to pneumonia.

  7. Tallyman says:

Trump, Romney kiss and make up with Trump endorsing Romneycare and Romney pointing out Trump’s earlier demand for Universal Trump/Romney/Obamacare. A healthcare pox on all three.

  8. Chris says:

The scary part about Trump is that he has stated that he would consider running as an independent if he failed to get on the GOP ticket. Ross Perot helped elect Clinton twice and Ralph Nader helped W beat Fat Albert.
