Progressives Go Third World

The left has been working hard to relieve the United States of her superpower status. While Al Gore did his climate change/snake oil pitch at Power Shift 2011 in DC, the real show at any progressive event are those who get in touch with their Third World selves and express it (or at least attempt to) in rhythm.

Or . . . their inner Tarzan or Jane.

We’re involved in at least 3 wars, our government is running record spending deficits, our glorious leader want to raise taxes even more, unemployment is at an unacceptable high, our government is printing money like there’s no tomorrow, and gas prices are north of $4. I’m having a bit of trouble understanding where expressing one’s self in dance can help all that . . . perhaps one of you enlightened liberals can straighten me out.

Hey, “Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we may die!”.

They’ve got nothing else to do. They live off of the largess of us worker bees, when the balloon goes up they are gonna be the first to die in the cold…

I know I’ve asked this before, but, what IS it with the left and drums?!

Sooo, it’s OK for them to express themselves, often arhythmically, even spastically, yet the conservatives can’t even speak their mind without these same folks getting nasty (see B&R Sunday edition below, or Gateway Pundit, or… or…. take your pick: plenty of examples); yeah, there’s that whole freedom of expression thing.

The liberal take: I’m free to express myself and you’re free to agree with me.

Common Time ain’t African. Shh. Don’t tell ‘em.

Let the heathens dance like, well, heathens.

  4. ELMexD says:

Wow! That was awesome! And they have a vote in the next election too!

I wouldn’t say the progs are “going” Third World. They’ve always been.

  6. Nicolas says:

to me, it’s fun music & dance, but to attach politics to it is just downright WRONG!!

I’d love to be able to read the minds of the musicians with all the white people trying and failing to do African dance. How do they not burst out laughing?
