How many times have we been over the myth regarding liberal colleges that claim to embrace “the free exchange of ideas”? Multiple examples have proven this as bullshit, but this one will really tick you off.
Columbia University students heckled a war hero during a town-hall meeting on whether ROTC should be allowed back on campus.
“Racist!” some students yelled at Anthony Maschek, a Columbia freshman and former Army staff sergeant awarded the Purple Heart after being shot 11 times in a firefight in northern Iraq in February 2008. Others hissed and booed the veteran.
Were these students ready to boo and hiss a Purple Heart recipient prior to their arrival to Columbia? Probably not. Most of this disrespect is instigated by the intolerant, liberal faculty, but at some point these punk-ass students need to grow up and think for themselves.
Bob, not gonna happen in the current culture in the Colleges of today. This is why what is happening in Wisconsin is sooooo important to Wacademia – if they lose the K-12, can colleges be far behind? Teachers having to TEACH instead of indoctrinate? The mind boggles.

Wayne Allyn Root, former Repubican and current liberitarian, told a story on his radio show of when he attended Columbia and the news hit the campus of Reagan just being shot. He said he was in stunned disbelieve when classmates broke into applause and cheers.

Oddly enough, University of Wisconsin, ground central for the union protests in the last week, is one of the very worst perpetrators. Disagree with the liberal goose step and you get shouted down and disowned.
