Bonehead Runner-Ups Of The Day

When the wealthy left complained their taxes were too low, complained they should pay more and we suggested they cut a check, it’s clear they needed some direction and motivation.

We’d like to offer a last-minute nomination for the nitwittiest idea of the year: GiveItBackForJobs.com. This is the cognitive elite’s version of a tax revolt, made all the more comical because it is the product of two of America’s top universities. (They are Yale and Cornell, so that our Harvard readers have reason to feel even smugger than usual today.)

Here’s what’s a little confusing: GiveItBackForJobs implies giving up a tax cut to create jobs. Their website offers several charities to choose from. Curiously, the federal government (whom liberals claims creates jobs) is not one of those options.

It’s amazing how stupid academics can be.

Is the future of America to be a land of non-profits? Well, that’s nice; but, someone will have to produce, or we will die of starvation, or be found frozen and dead by the next wave of settlers. This has happened before, at least twice.

Yup, here lies the dead Americans, citizens of what was once the most powerful nation on Earth. They died from starvation while patting each other on the back. Morons.

Let them write checks to the government, … and STFU!

  3. Ilion says:

And, those suggested donations are tax-deductible, are they not?

  4. mark-pa says:

Speaking of boneheaded: The plural of “runner-up” is “runners-up.” Not “runner-ups.”

But hey, angry right-wingers have never been sticklers for detail. Or for facts.

Well, I guess you told me, Mark. Angry leftists who troll conservative sites tend to focus on minutia instead of substance… you know, facts.

  6. RickH says:

That’s funny. Every time I get into an argument on teh interwebz, people who can’t back up their argument, always say, “YOU SPELLED ‘THE’ WRONG.” Never anything on the actual argument, just point to things I typed wrong and that will then disprove my argument and prove theirs.

    RickH:

Pedantic progressive. They are more concerned with appearance than substance.

That’s why they herald the virtues of MLK’s insight, but choose to denigrate his legacy by ignoring it.

While on the subject of boneheads….
The proper structure of your sentence would be:
“The plural of “runner-up” is “runners-up”, not “runner-ups.”

“Not “runner-ups”.” is not a complete sentence, therefore should not be separated from “The plural of “runner-up” is “runners-up”" with a period, and “Not” should not be capitalized.

As for the substance of the post, I feel that if a person doesn’t think the government gets enough of the money he (or she) earns, then that person should send the IRS whatever extra money he (or she) thinks is appropriate.
