    I grew up in Wisconsin, and I know what these are. (You’re talking about Christmas trees, I assume.)

    Okay, okay – a “kissing ball” is a like a big ornament. It’s made from styrofoam, I think, with all sorts of things pushed into it…its function is like mistletoe, as far as I’m aware.

    I hope I’m not ruining the thread by revealing the answer right away. Just pretend you didn’t read this. : )

    I have a kissing ball in my decorations, just don’t know where to hang it in this house because it’s supposed to go over a doorway so that you can “accidentally” meet your honey and kiss. :)
