What are these boneheads waitin’ on?
“The Patriotic Millionaires for Fiscal Strength” wrote a 155-word letter saying they hope their taxes will increase beginning in January. Its text is posted at FiscalStrength.com. It says:
“For the fiscal health of our nation and the well-being of our fellow citizens, we ask that you allow tax cuts on incomes over $1,000,000 to expire at the end of this year as scheduled. We make this request as loyal citizens who now or in the past earned an income of $1,000,000 per year or more.”
Are they hoping someone rubs their backs in a circular motion and thanks them for their sacrifice like they’re war vets? How ’bout this: open your damn checkbook and cut the government a check for an amount you think it deserves, or is that really the problem?
I caught that story too (love the Mr. Burns pic, Bob). Now that you mention writing a check, THAT makes more sense to me
How about just the millionaires who are not entrepreneurs. There is no reason to punish the individuals who, and businesses which, employ others. In fact, that seems counterproductive.

After my last comment, I looked at the link. the listed “millionaires” are largely West coast, or East coast. Go figure…
Venality Alert: Who me, no it’s the other guy who’s greedy. Don’t make an example of me, I support your raising the tax rate. Wink, wink, of course, do you think i got all this money by not being clever; I’ll just shift my income so that it’s not taxed and then we can begin this all over again with another different story for the gullible.
Pay up or shut up. Prove your not venal, share your wealth with the People through the government; write that check for the taxes you believe you are morally/ethically obligated to pay.
Really, they won’t write checks, after all, Liberalism is about spending OTHER people’s money. They’re offering it to spite other millionaires.

The study confirms what has been observed to be the predominant human nature. Our society would not be possible without this character trait. If the minority were to ever become the majority, it would be impossible to preserve individual liberty, and a totalitarian system would be inevitable and necessary to establish and maintain order.
Liberalism/progressivism must be defeated. The conservative hybrid is sufficient to provide accommodations for individuals who momentarily falter. The criminals, those who choose to fail, will be accorded a response appropriate to their actions.
The personal option to write a check to US has always been available but I’ve never heard of it being used by any of the enlightened left. Not only can you write a check but it becomes tax deductible. Warren Buffet has stated on many occasions that he believes taxes on the wealthy are too low. While I laud Mr. Buffet for his generous donations to public works, I wonder why he just doesn’t give it to US. After all, US has always done such a great job spending the rest of the trillions that they have confiscated. He should even qualify for the naming rights to a new carrier.
