Alaska CBS Affiliate Conspires To Smear Miller

I contend Democrats and liberal pundits wouldn’t be pulling all the Senatorial funny business with Christine O’Donnell and now Joe Miller if the races weren’t closer than we’ve been told.

The following voice mail message was inadvertently left on the cell phone of Joe Miller campaign spokesperson Randy DeSoto. The voices are believed to be those of the news director for CBS Anchorage affiliate KTVA, along with assignment editor Nick McDermott, and other reporters, openly discussing creating, if not fabricating, two stories about Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, Joe Miller.

Don’t worry. No one at KTVA will be fired over this clear violation of journalist integrity.

CBS Alaska affiliate KTVA called Joe Miller’s Senate campaign spokesperson and the call failed to disconnect properly. It was later authenticated by McDermott, who sent a text to Randy DeSoto stating, “Damn iPhone… I left you a long message. I thought I hung up. Sorry.”

We’ll see who’ll really be sorry.

I think Mr. Breitbart just found a couple more members of the JournoList.

    IT Nerd:

Exactly. It is about JournoListic integrity. Uncle Rick was right. It all makes sense within their limited context.

“I blew a few smoke rings, remembering those years. Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little
blow when you could afford it. Not smack, though. …”

    Hey, it works for some.

Sure they got caught on audio conspiring to commit fraud in order to affect the outcome of an election, but I’m sure they had a good reason to do it. Don’t they?

FEMALE REPORTER: The one thing we can do is ….we won’t know….we won’t know but if there is any sort of chaos whatsoever we can put out a twitter/facebook alert: saying what the… ‘Hey Joe Miller punched at rally.’

    FEMALE REPORTER
: Kinda like Rand Paul…I like that.

    [Laughter]

Ha-ha. I don’t know if I like it, but that is funny… in a Jackass sort of way.

It also sounds familiar. I wonder if Lauren Valle intended to realize that narrative with her gracious attempt to assault Rand Paul in order to deliver MoveOn.org’s mocking award. Wow, great minds do think alike, in an almost conspiratorial fashion.
