interest of you to do another roundup of headlines in the afternoon, bob.

anything interesting worth noting going on in Mass?

    typo again…I meant “INTERESTING”

At one time, and as formally described in the Constitution, these kind of people were referred to as traitors. Today, they are called “civil rights” activists. Not all efforts to promote civil rights are equivalent.

Subversion from within is the most insidious.

Feds sue Arizona sheriff in civil rights probe

    Speaking of the federal government.

Eddie Bernice Johnson: ‘I never heard the rules’ on scholarships
When all else fails, tell the lie that makes you look dumb

At one time, “looking dumb,” was avoided at all costs. I miss the days when people considered integrity to be a qualification of merit.

    Hamas warns of more attacks
As has always been the case

Curiously enough, the real Palestinian power broker, Hamas, was not invited to the negotiations. Any agreement reached with Abbas, and Fatah, are not worth the paper it is written on.

    Is the Tea Party Canada-bound?
    Why stop there?

The world is in dire need of an American conservative revolution. The old systems of progressive totalitarianism, and the anarchy which it fosters, must be defeated, once and for all. The world, and humanity, cannot afford liberalism/progressivism on a global scale. Individuals of dignity deserve more.

U.S. Soldier, Citing His Muslim Religion, Seeks Conscientious Objector Status
Okay, get the fuck out (and let’s hope he doesn’t blow people up later)

Muslim opportunist does not like being held accountable for his voluntary commitment. There was also some guy out of Hawaii who was similarly interested in the benefits, but not the responsibility.

    ‘Recovery’ unaffordable
Nice of the media to catch up…

They deserve some credit, but they still lack a full comprehension of the big picture. Liberalism/progressivism is unaffordable, and unsustainable, unless the majority of the population submit to the rule of an elitist class, and their supporters. Unfortunately, the act of submission is offensive to individual dignity, and will eventually destroy the individual, which further ensures that progressive totalitarianism is unsustainable. Eventually, there will be a revolution lead by the survivors.

And what does he know the everyone else doesn’t?

    ACORN? Amnesty? Redistributive change?

Workers see higher health costs, less care
    But the president said…

The president thinks it is all about the medical services insurance slush fund, which is typical of the instant gratification crowd. They are nearsighted in the extreme, and do not bear even a semblance of pragmatism.

This reminds me of some individuals from the third world who visit the first world, and remark why the same is not possible in their nations. It is difficult for them to comprehend that civilization was not developed overnight.

Court Documents Detail His Descent into Isolation and Despair

Yup, extremism will do that to a fragile human being, especially when their “education” misleads them about the state of reality.

  5. Rich says:

U.S. Soldier, Citing His Muslim Religion, Seeks Conscientious Objector Status

While I have only browsed through the Qur’an ( it is really boring stuff ) his claim about the Qur’an appears to me to be bogus, I see no conflict.

The word coward comes to mind or to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he has discovered he’d rather be murdering helpless Christians.

But to be fair he should be shown compassion in order to have the opportunity to save face.

My cousin’s kid is in to his 4th tour in Afghanistan so I feel compassion for this guy.

He should be given non-combatant status – clearing land mines.

This would be an equitable solution for him (no combat) and for the US taxpayer.

I only watched a few episodes… Nice catch, gagblue.

Lions leader rejects compromise, peace with zebras.

“You have to engage with Hamas — not because you like or dislike them,” Hroub said. “Because, pragmatically these are the people who can deliver.”

Right again. So, why were the pelicans invited? Do they serve as a distraction to effect a sleight of hand maneuver? Who is presenting the illusion, Americans, Israelis, or Palestinians? So far, the hyenas (i.e., the American liberal/progressive establishment) are firmly in the Hamas camp. They are scavengers, after all.

    But no death panels . . . . . . yet.

You’re not in the instant gratification camp, are you? It takes time, and money, to develop a burgeoning bureaucracy. The federal government has neither. Not yet, anyway. In fact, last time I checked, Timmy wasn’t doing very well in the bond market, their new revenue streams were not on-line yet, and the people were preparing to drive away the hyenas.

Good times on the savanna. Now, what are the elephants doing? I guess we will find out this fall.

gagblue, I would have let you have the last word, but I do enjoy a good metaphor. Thanks.

  9. n.n says:

    The propaganda:

CAIR Director: ‘Tea Party and Republican Party Have Given the Green Light for These People to Defame and Stereotype Muslims’
    – dated: September 02, 2010

    Some facts:

FBI data: Hate crimes against Muslims rare

Numbers have declined over recent years, but above pre-Sept. 11 level
    – dated: Aug. 28, 2010

Jews, lesbians, gay men and Caucasians, among others, are all more frequently the target of hate crimes, FBI records show.

Their ignorance, and deception, is remarkable. Just like the NAACP, CAIR conducts a campaign of slander against the Tea Party participants, and Republicans in particular. This seems to be in effect a campaign against the American people. It doesn’t get more prejudiced than that, CAIR. You would think that their claim of fear-mongering would translate to an increase in “hate crimes.” Maybe the prejudice has manifested itself in some more speculative form.

The Industry of Racism and Prejudice is not doing very well. In fact, there seems to be a progressive slide in effectiveness by the liberal/progressive establishment. It probably has something to do with their narrative demonstrating extremely poor correlation with reality.

You would think when the left-wing lunatic, a supporter of the Cordoba Initiative and their mosque, attacked a Muslim American who does not support the same, that CAIR would finally acknowledge reality. But who am I kidding. Neither CAIR, nor the NAACP, nor most members of the liberal/progressive establishment, would ever acknowledge any facts which undermine their carefully crafted narrative.

We’ve seen hate vandalism at mosques in California; in Tennessee, we had an arson attack; at a mosque in Arlington, Texas, we had an arson attack; and something that wasn’t even reported nationwide, in May we had a bomb attack at a mosque in Jacksonville, Florida,” [Ibrahim Hooper, CAIR’s chief spokesman] said.

Suspect in mosque arson could be in country illegally

A Muslim man charged with setting fire to a Marietta mosque may be in the country illegally

It is actually quite common for Muslims of one sect to destroy the mosques of Muslims from another sect. More often than not, it is about intimidating their opponents. Not only do they not respect the religious symbols and structures of other religions, but they don’t even respect the same of their own faith.

“I think it’s pretty clear that it’s been sparked…by these hate groups and their opposition to the Islamic community center in Manhattan.”

He doesn’t think very clearly. The reason why Islam is a concern for people who value liberty, is the same reason why American liberalism/progressivism is rejected by the majority of Americans. It is the ideology, stupid. While the vast majority of Muslims are willing to submit, Americans have rejected that proposition as regressive and an affront to human dignity. Keep your religion, but change your ideology. Progressive totalitarianism should be rejected by all people acting in good faith.

So submitting to this false assumption is really condemning our own faith in the 9/11 attacks and this is really a collective guilt that we do not submit to.
    – CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad

Interesting. Yet he would assign that “collective guilt” to others. I think most Americans know this game all too well. Unfortunately, for Awad, his slander is not supported by the evidence. Not that it has stopped the liberal/progressive establishment from conducting overt actions steeped in prejudice, and profit seeking, before. The recession must be hitting the Industry of Racism and Prejudice even harder than we may have thought.

Well, I guess if he states it as “truth,” then it must be true. Isn’t that right, NAACP? Morons, one and all. They are not only part of the problem, but their for-profit activities perpetuate prejudice. I don’t think they understand that respect is a bilateral arrangement. Their words, and actions, to date, have demonstrated that they are extremely prejudiced.
