Thanks for the full view perspective. Do you have a similar view to show the turn out at Al Sharpton’s showing. Perhaps that will be a predictor of what we can expect on November 2nd.

Beck, Palin tell thousands to ‘restore America’

I found the following to be quite amusing:

exhorted a sprawling and overwhelmingly white crowd

    and this, from cia.gov:

    Ethnic groups:

white 79.96%, black 12.85%, Asian 4.43%, Amerindian and Alaska native 0.97%, native Hawaiian and other Pacific islander 0.18%, two or more races 1.61% (July 2007 estimate)
note: a separate listing for Hispanic is not included because the US Census Bureau considers Hispanic to mean persons of Spanish/Hispanic/Latino origin including those of Mexican, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Dominican Republic, Spanish, and Central or South American origin living in the US who may be of any race or ethnic group (white, black, Asian, etc.); about 15.1% of the total US population is Hispanic

Overwhelmingly white. Note that “Hispanics” is not an exclusive racial designation, unless a separate classification can be used to support an agenda and increase someone’s bottom line.

I wonder if the “journalists” at WaPo are aware of the progressive demographics in America. And with an overwhelming increase in the “Hispanic” population, will they redirect their attacks against that class of people once they attain majority status?

There is more there, but I prefer to avoid propaganda, unless there is absolutely no other credible source for editorials.

Oh, one more thing, the classification of some people as “native.” What is the criteria to designate some people as native (one, two, or more generations)? According to archaeological evidence, there are no native Americans, Hawaiians, etc. They are most likely of either Asian or European descent. And there is physical evidence of other “native” people who predate them. If there are natives and immigrants, and the sovereign status of America is to be ignored, then every human in North, Central, and South America, and the islands, should return to their geographical origins.

Sorry, I was thinking of La Raza, and other supremacist organizations when I came across the WaPo editorial.

Alveda King speaks on whether her uncle Martin Luther King Jr. would stand with Glenn Beck or NAACP on Aug. 28

“I’m speaking at the Glenn Beck rally because Glenn and I have had many conversations about faith, hope and love,” Alveda King

Concepts which are central to the human condition.

Shelton, who is the NAACP’s senior vice president for advocacy and policy and Washington, D.C., bureau government affairs director, discounted Alveda King’s importance as a speaker for Beck’s event, saying she’s using the platform to promote her “anti-choice,” or pro-life, agenda.

So, Shelton’s principle concern is that the destruction of emergent human life should continue to be normalized. This is quite interesting. I wonder if he represents the views of the NAACP and its members. Does the advocacy to normalize the destruction of emergent human life extend to all people? Why would any human being wish to normalize such a deviant behavior? They don’t believe in God. They don’t believe in Nature. What do they believe?

What Dr. King was calling for was the expansion of rights, human rights and civil rights,” Shelton said.

she thinks the message of her uncle’s iconic speech was to eliminate different classifications of race, not keep them around.

Excellent! Alveda King for president, or at least an advisory position.

“The whole Tea Party definitely cannot be labeled as racist,” Alveda King told TheDC. “I’m in a group of African-American conservatives that had a press conference recently and they’re members of the Tea Party. If you’re going to call the Tea Party racist, you’re going to have to call us racist – and that’s ludicrous.”

Bob, you do associate with some prominent members of our society.

“Whenever you find racist acts, they need to be dealt with,” Alveda King said. “I have no problem with that, it should be. But, I’m saying it should be across the board — the NAACP selectively fights racism.”

Wow. She really does get it.

  4. SFJ says:

Sorry Bob. CBS says that is 87K people…I can find the source if someone insists. What they didn’t say, but implied, is they were all honkies. More amusing is that (tiwitter?) posts during the live feed at end was that Beck was paying off the ministers et al for appearing. BTW: where are the aerial photo’s of Rev Al’s gathering?

  5. SFJ says:

What has not been mentioned is that $5M+ was raised for the SOF bubbas. And, I’m sure, Holder and the IRS are auditing this as we speak.

What charity did Rev Al raise money for today? Other than Rev Al?

    Just for fun.

CBS News To Black Woman At Beck Rally: “I’m Noticing That There Are Not A Lot Of Minorities Here”

CBS News: “I’m noticing that there are not a lot of minorities here today, why do you think that is?”

Black woman at Glenn Beck rally: “They’re probably over there with Al Sharpton.”

I love her response. So far, all the evidence suggests, that America is divided along ideological lines, and not along incidental features.

Does CBS News have any credibility left (pun intended)?

THE question of the day: where is Rev Jackson?

  8. Rich says:

“exhorted a sprawling and overwhelmingly white crowd”

While I was only able to watch the first hour on C-SPAN, I was blown away by the rally and the response to it. I would have loved to see the finish and to hear Dr King’s presentation on her uncle.

I was scanning the crowd praying for black faces as I knew the media would play the race card, but I didn’t see any in the crowd so I was hoping C-SPAN was cherry picking the crowd.

  9. gagblue says:

In case the media tries to say only a few thousand attended the Beck rally.
In case? Bet the farm on it.

THE question of the day: where is Rev Jackson?
Answer of the day: Hopefully, standing in the unemployment line.

  10. Uncle Rick says:

    Soooo, “Shelton . . . discounted Alveda King’s importance . . . saying she’s using the platform to promote her . . . agenda.”

And brother Al and company are not using any platform to promote any agenda?

CBS News: “I’m noticing that there are not a lot of minorities here today, why do you think that is?”

    Uhhh, because they’re minorities?

    Doh!

  11. n.n says:

    Rich:

At least two ladies were caught on camera. Check the link at “CBS News To Black Woman At Beck Rally…”. Unfortunately, not only are the “minorities” a minority; but, they in the majority support the left-wing path. So it is unlikely we will see many “minority” faces at rallies to conserve the American Dream. Hopefully they will reconsider their support for progressive totalitarianism. Some already have.

  12. MissJean says:

Rev. Jackson was here in the Detroit area, I believe.

  13. Nicolas says:

absolutely beautiful testament to beck’s message of, indeed, RESTORING HONOR

  14. GoodMojo says:

    I wish I could have been there…

  15. britsarmymom says:

@nn I can tell you where ONE minority was during the Beck Rally: pursuing the American Dream and running for Congress in his own district as a Reagan Republican. I can also attest to living MLK’s dream as a minority caucasian in a community of Asian Americans. The race card is a self-inflicted weapon against “minorities” who are being used by Sharptons, Wrights and those-who-will- not- be-named lest Nancy Pelosi comes after me!

  16. n.n says:

running for Congress in his own district as a Reagan Republican

Everyone has a job to do. Some will protest and others will lead.

    Good luck to everyone.

The race card is a self-inflicted weapon against “minorities”

It certainly does reinforce counterproductive behaviors. That is, it divides people along lines of incidental features.
