The environmentalists were going bat shit over the the BP oil spill, and with good reason. But it was also the usual display of progressive arrogance, like the world is so weak WE are actually capable of damaging it.
A newly discovered type of oil-eating microbe is suddenly flourishing in the Gulf of Mexico.
Scientists discovered the new microbe while studying the underwater dispersion of millions of gallons of oil spilled into the Gulf following the explosion of BP’s Deepwater Horizon drilling rig.
And the microbe works without significantly depleting oxygen in the water, researchers led by Terry Hazen at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, Calif., reported Tuesday in the online Sciencexpress.
Enviros claim the world’s temperature is above normal, arrogantly assuming what’s comfortable for us is the Earth’s “normal” temperature. They trumpeted their fact that we’d be living with oil-soaked coastlines for decades. Anyone see any video of soiled beaches lately (and don’t expect a retraction any time soon)?

God is truly amazing at making the “wise” look like fools, except the “wise” don’t get the joke by God… Love it!!!
I fished the waters surrounding the Deep Water Horizon many years ago for 3 consecutive summer seasons. I well recall getting into “dead zones” during the hot days of later July and August, a phenomenon only recently discovered. We didn’t need scientists to tell us it was bad. Most people, including many scientists don’t realize that most of the oceans waters supports very little life. The most abundant areas are the coasts and the currents. The currents and the coastal areas are usually full of nutrients, which are also called pollution by many scientists. The nutrients are the basic building blocks of the food chain. The Mighty Mississippi is the source of huge amounts of nutrients flushed continuously into the Gulf. The late spring and early summer usually records the highest discharges and results in some great catches.
While the BP spill was bad it doesn’t compare to the annual discharge of river pollution, depending upon your viewpoint. While we will never know how much oil was spilled we should consider that crude oil is natural, organic, biodegradable and renewable. Just because it might (and might is an important distinction) not be renewable in your lifetime is irrelevant. Crude oil has also been called “The Devil’s excrement” by one of the organizers of OPEC because of the sorry effect it has upon the governments of the OPEC members, all of which are dictatorships and very corrupt. Oil just makes their life of corruption more comfortable.
As far as “Saving the Planet, just view George Carlin’s work of the same name on YouTube. George was the greatest for pointing out the most arrogant fools of our time.
The world’s oceans are one of the most powerful forces of the planet that can easily cleanse anything we can throw at it.
An interesting site about what is happening in the world with oil leaks!

This should be easy enough to verify. It should also be readily predictable, since the emission of oil in the Gulf is a constant and natural occurrence. The only remarkable observation is that some kinds of life continue to flourish even when the concentration of oil increases.
I wonder what else we don’t know or understand. And what unscrupulous people will seek to exploit the followers of selective science, and everyone else, by the authority vested in them.
wow..hat’s off to Berkeley. They’re ACTUALLY good for something USEFUL this time…apparently they’re not JUST indoctrinating impressionable college age kids

Some people suspect. Others know. And others just laugh.
God’s in charge, and He knows what to do.
Granted, we need to clen up the messes we make, but He’s kept the ol’ blue marble running for a long time now…

I’ll bet the bacteria are actually slowed in their consumption of the oil products by the dispersants liberally poured into the water…
As if we COULD have actual control over the earth… At best, we are “riders”. Whatever control we think we have is illusory. When “Mother Earth” is ready she’ll shake us off like fleas.
I’m all for humanity being good stewards of our natural resources; but there needs to be some balance. The unbalanced environmental movement/lobby cannot provide that.
