Hollywood director James Cameron challenged three high profile global warming skeptics to a public debate at a global warming and energy conference. But Cameron backed out of the debate at the last minute after environmentalists “came out of the woodwork” to warn him not to engage in a debate with skeptics because it was not in his best interest.
A very compelling argument must have been made to convince a super-intelligent liberal like James Cameron to miss out on a golden opportunity to put unsophisticated, ignorant, climate deniers in their place.

Last March James Cameron sounded defiant. “I want to call those deniers out into the street at high noon and shoot it out with those boneheads,” he said in an interview.Mr. Cameron was attending the AREDAY environmental conference in Aspen Colorado 19-22 August. He wanted the conference to end with a debate on climate change. Cameron would be flanked with two scientists. It would be 90 minutes long. It would be streamed live on the internet.
They hoped the debate would attract a lot of media coverage.
“We are delighted to have Fox News, Newsmax, The Washington Times and anyone else you’d like. The more the better,” one of James Cameron’s organizers said in an email.
Everyone on our side agreed with their conditions. The debate was even listed on the AREDAY agenda.
But then as the debate approached James Cameron’s side started changing the rules.
They wanted to change their team. We agreed.
They wanted to change the format to less of a debate—to “a roundtable”. We agreed.
Then they wanted to ban our cameras from the debate. We could have access to their footage. We agreed.
Bizarrely, for a brief while, the worlds most successful film maker suggested that no cameras should be allowed-that sound only should be recorded. We agreed
Then finally James Cameron, who so publicly announced that he “wanted to call those deniers out into the street at high noon and shoot it out,” decided to ban the media from the shoot out.
He even wanted to ban the public. The debate/roundtable would only be open to those who attended the conference.
No media would be allowed and there would be no streaming on the internet. No one would be allowed to record it in any way.
We all agreed to that.
And then, yesterday, just one day before the debate, his representatives sent an email that Mr. “shoot it out ” Cameron no longer wanted to take part. The debate was cancelled.
A few years ago, I was called out by an anonymous liberal who publicly stated he wanted to debate me in a public setting. The only problem is when I agreed and requested a time and place, the liberal never responded to my acceptance.
James Cameron is yet in a long line of narcissistic, big mouthed, shit-talkin’ cowards. He can bully around his film crews, but can’t take the heat from those who don’t fear him for their livelihoods. Now one can see why his first two wives dumped him. No money is worth all that.

My PowerPoint presentation was repeatedly interrupted by ARDAY moderator Richard Greene and the audience was not receptive to me continuing my presentation. Instead, the bulk of my presentation turned into a disjointed moderator and audience rant session. I attempted several times to return to my presentation, but the crowd and moderator refused to cooperate and seemed completely disinterested.
One participant confused carbon dioxide with carbon monoxide. She suggested I kill himself by driving my car into my garage and then close the doors with the engine running. I twice attempted to explain to the ARDAY conference participant that there was a difference between carbon dioxide — a harmless trace essential gas we exhale from our mouth– and toxic carbon monoxide, but to no avail. I sadly shook my head and told the audience: “Wow, what a warm welcome I have gotten here.”

What did he expect? The Earth has been experiencing regional cooling recently, with a marked progression in fiscal year 2010. The bureaucracy, environmentalists, and other for-profit enterprises, have experience a significant drop in return on their investments. That would make anyone a little ornery.
They don’t understand the Earth’s system. They believe that humans are evil incarnate. I am beginning to suspect they may have ulterior motives.
They should probably throw another emergent human life on their barbecue (Isn’t that what PETA suggests? Or was it Planned Parenthood? The lunacy tends to meld after enough degeneracy becomes normalized.), before more people realize that lunatics live among us.

Sayers, I like a little drama with my “Bonehead Of The Day.” Just enough to take the edge off what is otherwise expected, but quite disappointing nonetheless.
I do believe there are some environmentalists; but, they tend to be overshadowed by the control freaks, who were either originally control freaks, or have been corrupted by their new found power.
The reasonable position is that of good stewards. The reasonable position is to pursue understanding through the true spirit of science. The alternative is an unbound zealotry of cult status, bordering on terrorism. Huh, that sounds familiar. It happens to be a theme which runs rampant through left-wing ideology.

It’s amusing to consider that libertarians consider Conservatives to be progressive totalitarians, and they would be right. Conservatism does, after all, represent the compromise between left and right-wing ideological extremes. I can just imagine what they call liberals/progressives behind their backs. Cameron and his advisors knew that this particular public ass kicking would be out of his control. “Action” would not begin it… and “cut” would not end it.

A local syndicated talk radio show host, Phil Valentine, is supposed to be releasing a movie: “An Inconsistent Truth”, very shortly. He tried several times to get Al Gore to talk to him, with no luck.

Cameron is probably just one of those guys who believes what someone tells him about a situation, then is embarrassed to admit that he was wrong when he hears the other side’s story. It’s just that in this case, it’s a multimillionaire believing a world-wide situation, not just grandma believing Uncle Dwayne really was an innocent bystander in a bar brawl.
