Using the NAACP’s resolution against Tea Party “racism” as a model, I hereby ask YouTube to repudiate their racist users.
“I take no issue with Google’s YouTube community. I believe in freedom of assembly and people raising their voices in a democracy. What I take issue with is the YouTube’s continued tolerance for bigotry and bigoted statements. The time has come for them to accept the responsibility that comes with influence and make clear there is no place for racism & anti-Semitism, homophobia and other forms of bigotry on their website.”
The following are real comments from YouTube users on the Black & Right channel alone. They have not been Photoshopped and distributed by Think Progress.
The following are a select group of comments from just one of my videos….

— vremIn sub-saharan africa, where niggers havent been influenced by other races, there hasn’t been one invention or advancement in 6000 years. They still haven’t invented the wheel, or gotten past voodoo and witch doctors for medical treatment. They haven’t built more than mud huts.

Consider hannityforpres a Crash The Tea Party-type who infiltrates for the purpose of smearing.

— FreshMilk1First of all this guy looks and sounds funny. Remember the republican party ended slavery to only make people think they were free. This is a capitalist country and the republicans look out for the wealthy. This guy is every bit of a sambo look at him.

I could go on for hours on this video’s comments alone, but I think you get the idea.
The Tea Party Express jettisoned Mark Williams shortly after his inappropriate comments became public knowledge. For years, I’ve sent screenshots of comments like these to YouTube on many occasions and have yet to receive acknowledgement, and one would think that a 600-pound gorilla like YouTube (especially with a progressive champion like Jonathan Soros on its Board) would not allow such language to run rampant on their site, but as it’s aimed at conservatives….

I’ve noticed that YouTube has made some interface changes lately, it would seem to be a simple solution to allow the owner to delete any comments they wish.
I guess that disabling comments sort of defeats the purpose.
a black kid was in my class at skool and he stunk.
This kiddie hasn’t learned much in “skool”.
What someone does under the cloak of anonymity is who they are. It says everything about the commenter.
Secondly, for people who claim to be superior, use of the N word and kindergarten grammar seems ironic.
Finally, I may make stupid comments on blogs, but they reflect would I would say to someone across a diner booth. The cloak of anoymity breeds cowardice and a false sense of free speech entitlement because there is no sense of consequence or responsibility for the commenter. It is too one-sided.
We all know what would happen if you said this garbage in public, in a mano y mano conversation.
Let them speak, write, and act, thereby revealing their true nature. While the posters remain anonymous, and therefore unaccountable, normal people will recoil in disgust, and it will serve to confirm their own convictions. Civilized society would not be possible if the majority of people were not “normal” (e.g., tolerant). Just like the progressive totalitarian agenda of liberals/progressives, this will serve to isolate the deviants in our society.
As for Williams (I have not read his remarks), Conservatives should deal with exceptions in their midst, as they should hold any deviant (e.g, criminal) accountable. The Conservatives are the gatekeepers of civilized society, and must ensure that it does not collapse, whether it is provoked by fanatics from the left- or right-wing of ideological extremes.
As for what establishes normal, it starts at home. It is long past time for parents to stop outsourcing their responsibilities. It is long past time to end the intrusion of the government, for-profit “non-profit” businesses, the UN, etc., into our lives. It is telling that non-theists principally, and then pretenders of faith, would willingly submit to the control of mortal gods.
When dealing with exceptions, we have several choices, the best of which is to isolate and marginalize them until they are no longer an influence in our society. In the extreme, such as murders, rapists, traitors, etc., we choose to remove them from the Earth, permanently.

The best thing to do is pay them no attention.
And I haven’t for years, but if the Tea Party is going to be blanketly labeled as racist because of a few fringe persons (planted or not), then why can’t the same purging be demanded of Google using the NAACP’s revised verbiage?
Only seems fair to me, considering those making the majority of intolerant comments are progressive.
Bob, I’m curious do you PERSONALLY think Mark Williams’ comments were inappropriate? my new friend, the current executive director of the El Dorado County Republican Party, here in California, says he KNOWS Williams personally and puts his statements into context of slavery. If I can remember correctly (and if I’m not, I can always ask him again), the context was that we all are TAX slaves, and we need to be emancipated, and threw it back to the days of Lincoln, as if it were a letter to our party’s founder, Honest Abe. What was your take on it?
also, Bob, I’m curious if you’ve considered doing a video about it? maybe something you and Cory could film, similar to the “kids” video you guys filmed at a waterfront?
