He was caught stealing from the business which employed him. This seems to be a case of someone going “postal” following a reprimand for bad behavior.
The moral of the story is: If you catch someone stealing, and you don’t want to lose your life, then report the theft to the police and the ACLU. The ACLU because your family, and friends, should not be required to suffer from the indignity of accusations of racism. It’s always advisable to call the experts in prejudice manipulation.
If an employee is paranoid, willing to break a law (however seemingly trivial the offense) and abusing alcohol, great care should be taken when disciplining that person.
