Cleveland would be a good place for the Democratic Convention. But you know what would be even better? Detroit! The Democrats made that city what it is today. In fact, that should be the theme of the convention.

  2. RockThisTown says:

Republicans filibuster!! Why is it that liberal loons like Ginsburg & Sotomayor get approved, yet Thomas gets assailed, and Bork & Myers can’t? Granted, Myers wasn’t the best choice Bush could’ve made, but Bork was fine, yet got shot down. Now, it looks like Kagan (who’s never tried a jury trial or been a judge) will get approved. Republican Senators are limp-wristed wimps if they let this nutjob get approved. Where’s the outrage?

“Surprise, not really. CNN choosing from a very weak bench”

and that includes Eliot Spitzer as well…jeeze

    good.

“This administration will find a way to again blame Bush”

‘Twas Bush who sought off-shoring drilling!’ heh heh. should be interesting how long they take to find a lackey to find in order to fall on the sword

“The visual of Al Gore trying to get his freak on is unnerving”

I know…especially any analogies he MAY have used like “it looks like you have TWO globals I need to save..”
    Sorry about that one, ladies…

“And abused dogs still wag their tails in front of the abusive master”

    most unfortunate

“Watch how quickly the Democrat majority becomes impotent and blames minority Republicans”

somehow I don’t think “the party of ‘no’ ” is going to fly here..

“Looks to me like the cops didn’t go far enough”

    accurate statement

Call your congressman. Tell them to filibuster Kagan. Its time to use our filibuster powers NOW, before its too late.

    Igor:

It was an allusion to acts of violence that occur in the Middle East. I wonder if the same happened in Jordan, before they were forced out.

As for civilized society, the threat of reprisal is the only means by which some people will respect their peers. That is why we have police forces; but, the nature of reality restricts their omnipresence, and so we must be prepared to defend our rights.

    bigger and faster rocks

That’s the result of progress and competition in a world with limited resources and individuals with dreams of progressive totalitarianism.

  6. n.n says:

    re: protesting civilized society

Now we know why progressives want to curtail our 2nd Amendment rights. An armed population would not bode well for the health of progressives coercing their fellow human beings to accept progressive totalitarianism. This was true during the LA riots of ’92 and it remains true today.

  7. Igor says:

n.n, we “civilized” people still throw rocks, they’re called bullets. They’re faster and more accurate, but the slang term for a gun is “slug thrower”.
We still continue to bang the rocks together, but nowadays they’re called bombs. Bang ‘em together hard/fast enough, you get a nuclear bomb.

People haven’t changed much behaviorally, we just have bigger and faster rocks.

Degenerates are always going to be with us. Question is, how much will we tolerate them?

    Igor

Portland police will investigate accusations that Al Gore groped woman
The visual of Al Gore trying to get his freak on is unnerving
Bob, stop doing that! I now need to clorox my brain! The idea of getting groped by the Gorebot is hideous. I’ve already had a nightmare a couple of nights ago where Al Gore was calling me an asshole. I think my brain is merging moronic VPs.

  9. n.n says:

Groups: Canadian police went too far at protests

It looks like they are protesting civilized society. Maybe DHS, and SPLC, should reconsider listing progressives as terrorists. Their behavior may not be naturally deviant, but it is certainly incompatible with sharing a world with normal people.

Also, who knew that rocks could cause so much damage.

There are a lot of degenerates who deserve a hard life.
