Just who is THIS White House to question anyone’s ‘maturity’, let alone an Army general…?
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs just said parents of the more than 90,000 US troops in Afghaniatan need to be confident that the command structure — meaning McChrystal — is “capable and mature enough“ for this mission.
This bunch had better be very careful when tossing around the m-word at others.
BTW — There is such a thing as a telephone for assuaging the need to chew someone out who’s leading a war halfway around the world.

This administration had better be partying like it’s 1999, (which they are), b/c after November 6, 2012, they’ll be checking the want ads for jobs. Then we can get intelligent, non-crooked-Chicago-politics-mentality adults in charge again.
Obama Looking for ‘Ass to Kick’ for Oil Spill
Since the administration knew weeks in advance of problems with BP’s Deepwater Horizon well, we can only assume that the “ass” he was seeking to “kick” was his own. Surely kicking one’s own ass would qualify as immature. Or maybe the “ass” he was seeking to “kick” was the nebulous ass of the Democratic Party. In which case that is simply immature (and crude) humour.
As for Gibbs, the immature talking head of Obama’s administration has no right to pass judgment on others. Certainly not of anyone who has actually contributed to our society. Let him serve in a position which may require the ultimate sacrifice, then he may possess some credibility in offering his opinions.
Obambi wants to kick some ass, he can start with the Democrap party…
Oh, wait, “professional courtesy”…

Stores’ Treatment of Shoplifters Tests Rights
First, suspected shoplifters caught by the store’s security guards or staff members have their identification seized. Then, they are photographed holding up the items they are accused of trying to steal. Finally, workers at the store threaten to display the photographs to embarrass them, and to call the police — unless the accused thieves hand over money.
…
Mr. Sanchez, the security guard, said some stores paraded the shoplifting suspect up and down the aisles, announcing the attempted theft to customers.
“It is truly the walk of shame,” he said.
Sometimes, the solution is quite simple. I wonder if we could do the same with our civil servants.
It saddens me that a war horse like McCrystal has to cowtow to the punk we have running the country into the ground. The General understands leadership, the other has an ego and dark heart that does not allow any kind of understanding. A liar that stole the White House…..
Bob, I got a hypothetical for you – say you wrote a column, that was had such blistering truth in it, SOMEHOW the White House noticed it, and the Kenyan summoned you for a stupid ‘talk’. How would you conduct yourself? Frankly I think you could kick his ass with the truth, but what would you do?
Utah Supreme Court rules in favor of e-signatures
The Utah Supreme Court said Tuesday that state election officials must accept online petition signatures to qualify individuals for the ballot.
“This is a win for everyone in our state,” Anderson said. “We’re setting a precedent for the entire nation to follow. I’m so well pleased I could pop a button.”
Moron. This will be ripe for abuse. As there is precedent, set by ACORN and others, for such abuse, the potential for corruption is not theoretical.
The ACLU and Democrat Party were behind this litigation. As people who act to subvert our constitution and our national sovereignty, I wouldn’t think they would have any legal standing to file lawsuits. There may be some good Democrats, but the party is acting in contradiction to American interests. Unfortunately, they may all be tainted by the actions in bad faith which are committed by their party’s leaders.
The global warming advocates, their blacklist, and …
Spencer: The Inquisition
Nothing less than the true spirit of science is at stake. Some people have compared the list of “climate deniers” to McCarthy’s list of communists. However, there is one glaring problem with their analogy, McCarthy was right, and the communists, along with all proponents of totalitarian philosophies, pose a grave threat to civilized society and individual dignity. Actually, the analogy is not bad, but to be true to principle, the global warming blacklist should identify all of the opportunists and members of the oft-cited, but in practice ethereal, “consensus”.

Pesky Academics With Minds of Their Own
I believe that Pielke, Jr. considers himself a progressive; but, at least in this matter, he seems to be a man of integrity. Once he plays this game for a while, he may reconsider his progressive position as well. I am all for voluntary exploitation, especially charitable work; but, the alternative, is simply too regressive for anyone who values individual dignity. There are compromises, and there is progressive totalitarianism. The progressives with good intentions may well learn to distinguish between the two.
