Obama-McChrystal II

This has been a bad last few days for Barack Obama. Last week, he was called out by Congressmen King and Barton, Monday by Senator Kyl and now publicly by General Stanley McChrystal and an over-the-phone ass chewing just won’t do…

The top commander in Afghanistan, Gen. Stanley McChrystal, has been summoned to the White House to explain biting and unflattering remarks he made to a freelance writer about President Barack Obama and others in the Obama administration.

The face-to-face comes as pundits are already calling for McChrystal to resign for insubordination.

If the truth is insubordination, then… McChrystal for Congress!

Does Obama really want McChrystal to explain his remarks? I thought the what the General and his staff said where pretty clear.

  2. Trishmac says:

eNeecie is right- and if Obama is dumb enough to do anything to diminish Stanley McC’s leadership over this, then he really is the worst president EVAH.
Seriously-lefty pundits want this superior fighting man to resign? I haven’t heard that yet, but whomever it is who’s saying it, really ought to be slapped a few times.

  3. Trishmac says:

Okay, so Michael Yon, the embed reporter, says McC should resign. Hm, a different prespective for sure. Will have to think about this some more!

  4. onewiseguy says:

McChrystal should resign and tell the world it is because of his total lack of confidence in the President and his Administration to do what is needed/right. That would be a big slap in the face of this fool we have as Commander in Chief.

  5. Igor says:

Of course Obambi is going to slap down McChrystal, hard. He’s showing what a buffoon and poultroon The One really is, and Obambi can’t have that. Gonna hang him out to dry.

Just wait, Barry… YOU’RE time is coming. I hope we can soon undo the damage you and your pack of ravening misogynist bigoted pinheads are doing to the country, but it’s gonna be a hard slog.

    Popcorn, anyone?

    Igor

  6. girzwald says:

Obama a thin skinned whiny baby? Say it aint so.

  7. TexRex says:

NObama is hellbent on turning this country of ours into a third-world banana republic……….in which case I smell a Coup.

  8. RockThisTown says:

    Obama = appeasement, limp-wristed, apologize-for-our-greatness, not-proud-of-my-country, non-military mentality.

    McChrystal = negotiate-from-a-position-of-strength, keep-our-nation-safe, honor-duty-country-military mentality.

No meeting of the minds here.

  9. Uncle Rick says:

    To paraphrase Patrick Henry:

If this be insubordination, then make the most of it!

  10. Uncle Rick says:

That’s a Silver Star top center on McChrystal’s chest. Here is a man who has faced the enemy and shown personal courage under fire. And Obama thinks he has something he can teach him? Is there any greater irony?

    Sheesh!

  11. thinking says:

We don’t have a “Commander in Chief”…we have a “community organizer in chief”. True, as the POTUS, BO is McChrystal’s superior- but only in that one way. In every other way, BO is clearly the inferior of the two.

  12. IT Nerd says:

Imagine the reaction from the lefties if Gen. McChrystal has made the comments about President Bush.

  13. n.n says:

It looks like a “let me be clear” moment. I have a scheduled tee time, and your inconvenient truth will make me unfashionably late.

  14. Nicolas says:

how is it insubordination to the Kenyan? Let’s be real – Obama has no legal power over the General, as he’s not an American. Period.

the pundits needs to sit down.

    McChrystal for Congress!

  15. Nicolas says:

also, I’ve noticed a pattern since the Gates episode last July – Obama summons those he doesn’t agree with to the White House to “talk” to them

    way to show leadership…

  16. I love the left’s “HOW DARE HE NOT GET ALONG WITH THE GUY WHO DOESN’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT OUR TROOPS!” reaction

  17. OldnyFirefighter says:

He, Obummer, had a talk with Governor Jan Brewer & came out of that conversation with a puss on him. I guess he got his skinny ass chewed
a little bit because his “Talk” didn’t work. Brewer more or less told him it was his job to protect the borders & if he wouldn’t do his job, she would.

He may be in a superior position, but isn’t qualified to even spit shine the Generals boots. It’s rather like comparing a spitball to a Bunker Buster, a little fart to a big Kaboom. Even if you lit up the little fart, it ain’t nothin compared to a real big Kaboom!
