Constant Constance: Obama and a Woodstock Party

Constance McMillan sued her school so she could go to her prom with another girl dressed as a boy. The school cancelled the prom for everyone. Constance had her own prom (which bombed) and the senior class privately had theirs. Ellen stepped in and gave Constance a scholarship check for $30,000, she may get to hang with President Obama, and will get to party in Woodstock.

“All Love, All Woodstock” is a benefit for Constance McMillen and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), to be held on Friday, June 25th at 7pm at The Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, New York.

And like those who came together in ‘69 to celebrate their connectedness, today’s Woodstockers and Woodstockers-in-spirit are gathering to celebrate the heroism of Constance McMillen, an 18 year-old lesbian high school senior from Mississippi who refused to be silenced or shamed.

It’s time to stop playing Constance as the victim here. She appears to be making out just fine.

Ugh, I don’t want to think about Constance making out…. ‘specially not with Ellen….

As for the Woodstock party, I wonder if they’re going to have any of that Brown Acid….

  2. Nicolas says:

only the ACLU could call her “heroic”

    please…

The American public is tired of negative politics. When was the last time a dramatic movie with a clear political message did anything other than bomb? It’ll be interesting to see what happens because even with a name like Woodstock it’s going to be hard to convince anyone other than senior-citizen hippies and MSNBC addicts to show up.
