Bob, I’m surprised you linked to the article by Debbie Schlussel. Her claims have been pretty well picked apart here:

    http://www.frumforum.com/hannitized-is-sanitized

    and here:

  2. Bob says:

True. I’ll wait and see what more she has. He said, she saids go nowhere.

Mars as you’ve never seen it before: The colossal ice walls that show another side of the Red Planet
You can see how that 95% carbon dioxide atmosphere really helps to heat up the planet.

  4. fboiteau says:

    Actually…

while that may be true, mars’ atmosphere is rather thin.

Venus also has a very high composition of CO2 in its atmosphere as well

    Carbon dioxide 96.5 %
    Nitrogen 3.5 %
    Sulfur dioxide 150 ppm
    Argon 70 ppm
    Water vapor 20 ppm
    Carbon monoxide 17 ppm
    Helium 12 ppm
    Neon 7 ppm
    Hydrogen chloride 0.1–0.6 ppm
    Hydrogen fluoride 0.001–0.005 ppm

the difference comes in the fact that atmospheric pressure on mars is much…MUCH lighter than on Venus

Average surface pressure (92 bar or) 9.2 MPa on Venus while it’s around 30 Pascals (0,000030 bar)

The average atmospheric pressure at sea level(on Earth) is about 1 atmosphere (atm) = 101.3 kPa (kilopascals)

Worlds of difference…pardon the pun :)

  5. fboiteau says:

    arrgh, typos…

Average surface pressure (92 bar or) 9.2 MPa on Venus while it’s around 30 Pascals (0,000030 bar) on Mars

  6. eNeecie says:

    Uh, fboiteau,
I think you missed the point.

Yes, what I said about Martian atmosphere was an over simplification. So is the theory of global warming caused by human activity. According to the theory as it has been presented, Mars should be boiling. They do not take into account things like the dampening effect of water vapor, atmospheric pressure, solar activity, etc.

I got my info about Mars through my husband: his best man studies Martian atmosphere at the Goddard Institue in NY and my husband worked on an instrument that was on the last Mars probe.

In any case, it was trying to be funny. ;-)

Global warming/ global schwarming. Fake. Hoax.

And Bob, how could you subject us to a picture of that ugster communist evil person Nancy “stretchface” Peloli….??? I almost threw up on my laptop!

  8. fboiteau says:

    @eNeecie
I did not miss the point ;)

I did see the humour in this, but I somehow felt compelled to add to the conversation by spicing it with scientific mumbo-jumbo ;)

  9. fboiteau says:

“And Bob, how could you subject us to a picture of that ugster communist evil person Nancy “stretchface” Peloli….??? I almost threw up on my laptop!”

Indeed, as I commented on one of Bob’s videos on YT, “showing Nancy Pelosi in ANY context constitutes a scare tactic”

Assaults Reported During South Street Flash Mob

Hundreds gathered on South Street Saturday evening during the city’s latest “Flash Mob” incident.

Mayor Nutter defends their actions with “not a whole lot happened”. From Nutter’s reaction, one would think that such violence is the norm in the city of brotherly love. If this continues, America will be able to add another city to its list of municipalities suffering from self-inflicted urban blight.

Next time, the children and “children” may not be so lucky.

LA Riots – Gunfight in Korea Town

Linda Mour reporting on Los Angeles Riots 1992. Footage of looting and gunfight with shop owners and looters.

Not every American will submit. It seems that the most recent legal immigrants have not forgot the alternative, nor their individual dignity.

    15 Years After LA Riots

As an immigrant of more than three decades in Los Angeles, I have strong feelings about what happened: the riots were a glaring example of racial prejudice against Koreans.

Who victimized these first-generation immigrants? The culprit was the mainstream American news media. Their biased and shallow reporting usually began with the Los Angeles Times, which set the tone in the city.

Had the media observed the basic rules of journalism _ refraining from racial labeling unless it is pertinent _ Du’s case would not have turned into a racial case that inflamed blacks’ anger toward Koreans.

The people who divide us by race, and force us to live in the past, do a disservice to all people living today. This is not a “black and white” issue. It is not even a class issue. This is an issue arising from people who choose to be productive and those who seek the involuntary exploition of that productivity for their own benefit. It is no wonder that there are such places as Korea town, China town, etc. People would rather deal with crime as the exception, than crime as the rule.

The Korean immigrants’ viewpoints were largely ignored. Koreans did not have a civil rights group such as the NAACP. Furthermore, not one mainstream news agency in Los Angeles in 1992 had a reporter who was fully bicultural and bilingual.

We could treat everyone with equal respect; but, then how would so many earn a living. If Philladephia’s government is not careful, then the lines will be similarly drawn on racial division.

Thank you, regressive liberals/progressives, for perpetuating the artificial division of people by your diverse classifications. None of this would be possible without your inherent discrimination of people by color, shape, size, etc.

  12. n.n says:

    Don’t trust anything ACORN says

They have decentralized, that is all. As others have noted, they will be more difficult to target now. Any criminal conspiracy on the part of the affiliated businesses, will not constitute systemic corruption. As much as the regressives mock the Tea Parties, they have learned a valuable lesson.

Yes, Salt Lake leans heavily Democrat. Forgive us, for they have lost their minds. A bunch of immigrants enjoying a better life enabled by conservative principles. This seems to be a natural regression for people living in a metropolis.

Sanchez to Grayson: Did You Call Sarah Palin An Alaskan Dingbat?

I will never again hesitate to mock the regressive liberals/progressives. They have brought it upon themselves.

Unite, simians of all colors, shapes, and sizes. Do not betray your weasel, sloth, vulture, and leach ancestors.

Rev. Jesse Jackson: ‘Warped’ Tea Partiers Seem ‘Programmed to React Without Thinking’

I don’t think Jesse understands why people participate in Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, etc. If you confiscate the wealth people have earned over their productive lifetime, then you can expect that they will seek a return on the extortion. It’s not like they now have a choice, since their disposable income was diminished through the creation of a slush fund to enable government corruption, followed by kickbacks to their cronies and minions.

Has Jesse castrated Obama yet? This guy is all over the place.

Remember, regressive liberals/progressives. It is only a crime until you change the rules — that should appeal to your delicate sensibilities. The left-wing lunatics are in rare form, following their historic success. I don’t think they are as happy as they would like us to believe. They’re probably still waiting for the real enslavement of the population to commence — good times.

  16. Nicolas says:

“And whenever Republicans win big, liberals are the first to remind us not to gloat”

if we do in November, same as we’ve done at the voting booth the past 2 special elections, I’m going to take a hammer to that convention of not gloating. Maybe I’ll make a video or something?

“How the administration handles this will go a long way towards us knowing whose side Obama is really on”

Virginia to sue U.S. over healthcare reform

Bob, hats off to the State you’re living in now…sadly California doesn’t HAVE the balls to sue…damn it..

“Our presence was noted in the WSJ among the “racist” Tea Party faithful”

whose presence? Yours and Cory’s personally?

“No worries: that’s just our money they’re partying with”

no kidding..but what does “elevation money” mean??

“Who said a liberal needs to be qualified?”

case in point, Obama or any of his Czars, etc

“And why should Amazon be punished because states “cash-strapped” themselves?”

because Obama wants to cap how much we all can make and then spread THAT wealth around..

EPA To Issue Stricter Drinking Water Standards

    isn’t that a good thing?

  17. Igor says:

I had the “privilege” of watching Queen Gregoire, the Dumbocrat Govenor of the Peoples Republik of Washington, on the news last night complaining about the Wash. State AG proceeding with his lawsuit – I swear she had spittle coming from her mouth. She was bitching about the AG *not* consulting with her, or the WA Senate leaders, before he did the lawsuit. Boy, she dripped vitriol with every word!

Too bad, B***H! Our AG has a spine. Belatedly, but he shows promise. We Tea Partiers and 9-11ers are going to call him today and tell him to ignore all the frothing-at-the-mouth libs that have been overloading his phone with (essentially) death threats.

    Good show, old chap!
