I have a question–are there actually any official Republican talking points? I have seen leaked Democratic talking points memos released online. You can see talking points posted on their astroturf websites. Most recently was that Organizing for America talk radio campaign. I have heard several Democrats get interviews on the same day and use the same exact wording to make points. But I have never seen this on the part of Republicans. I am perfectly willing to admit I am biased and may have missed it. So that is why I am asking if anyone has seen actual, official Republican talking points. I am just curious.

From what I see, and I know I am biased, is that the Republican Party lets people talk for themselves. But maybe I’m wrong, maybe they have their marching orders just like the Dems. Does anyone know?

The Dumbocrats, led by Her royal Higness Nancy Pelousy, has decided they want to make a rule change so that those who vote on the rule change will “pass the rule change but NOT the Health Care bill”. The rule change lets the Senate’s version of the Health Care bill “pass” the House without an actual vote…
However, Article 1 Section 7 or the Constitution (remember that document, Dems??) says that any bill has to have a VOTE on it, and the vote has to be TALLIED with each member’s vote. NO EXCEPTIONS.
So, the Dumbocrats are trying to hide their vote behind a House Rule change so they can say, “Hey, *I* didn’t vote for the Health Care bill!” They will attempt to say this with a straight face, and the Great Unwashed Masses will mostly believe them, because you can bet your bottom dollar the MSM and the LLL will be trumpeting the “fact” that they didn’t vote *DIRECTLY* for said Health Care bill. Or, that it passed out of the house for The One to sign…
You can rest assured that Fox News, et al, will be trumpeting this travesty from the rooftops, and the lawyers like the ACRU are going to be swarming the Federal Courts to have this debacle declared Unconstitutional. Which it clearly is! Might even get the SCOTUS involved, who knows.

Yes, I know what the real “talking points” should be.
If their “talking points” coincide with our own, then it is only because we have a common basis for deriving them. Although, as the “wise latina” once said, my experiences are my own. So, expect deviation from any prescribed norm.
If Pelousy pushes this through without a vote, I can guarantee it will be overturned by the SCOTUS. The Government can’t force you to buy Health Care. Nor can they make you pay a fine (tax) or jail time for not buy a Health Care Package. It will definitely pass muster under the Constitution. Expect almost every State to file a suit against Congress for enacting an illegal fine or imprisonment for failure to comply. In fact, it may not even be legal to pass the Bill with an actual vote.
