How many people can you call “brother” and “racist’ in the same interview while calling yourself a “Jesus-loving free black man”…?

What are these people doing to history?
What are they doing to truth?
If you believe the first sentence, that this guy was the first African American to receive a PhD from Princeton, then you’ll believe *anything*.
And it denigrates the hard work and sacrifice of those who came before.
I definitely got a kick out of this parody video here. Imagine if Obama’s administration were an episode of “Seinfield”
damn it..I meant “SeinFELD”
typos be damned…
also, Bob, got a question for you – why do you think there are Republicans who DON’T know how to hold the line on Conservatism, like Scott Brown & John McCain, among others?
how is it that Conservatism is difficult concept to grasp? How can a person call themselves a Republican and NOT stand for racial civil rights Capitalism, Free Market, Small Government, and life/liberty/pursuit of happiness?
how does THAT work?
They just want to be liked, invited to the parties, and not be opposed harshly by special liberal interests.
Self-serving, 100%
also, is it such a bad thing that some of us ARE partisan in order to preserve our side and our standards along with minimizing political casualties? sometimes I get criticized for being partisan, and I think “well you say that like it’s a BAD thing!”
am I wrong in being partisan in, what I believe to be, preserving our standards of what we believe in? They’d mentioned in the FANTASTIC Reagan Documentary by Newt Gingrich that Reagan would’ve “gotten 80% of what [he] wanted, rather than going over a cliff with [his] flag flying”. Sometimes I think “bipartisanship” is compromising your own standards JUST to get along
am I somehow wrong here?
A man (figurative speech from an old guy, yes, it means the ladies too) is only as wrong as his convictions will allow, Nicolas.
trying to figure out how that applies to me, Mac
good phrase to remember
Machine, like that. I *had* to post it on my little unread blog.
only as wrong as his convictions will allow
That’s why so many choose to be liberal, and so many more choose to be “moderate” while avoiding the liberal label. Life is easy when principles are selective, or so they think. Lack of principles, while removing the hard decisions from everyday life, does degrade the mind and spirit in the long term. Still, it is especially convenient when you are young and seemingly immortal.
