In the face of a White House denial, U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak stuck to his story yesterday that the Obama administration offered him a “high-ranking” government post if he would not run against U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania’s Democratic primary.
Yeah, I think that’s about right.
A White House official “vociferously” denied his account yesterday as Sestak insisted on national television that he had told the truth, but declined for a second day to divulge details.
“I was asked a direct question… and I answered it honestly,” Sestak said in a Fox News interview. “There’s nothing more to go into.”
Sestak made his startling claim Thursday during the taping of Comcast Network’s Larry Kane: Voice of Reason, a public affairs show televised on Sunday evenings.
“Were you ever offered a federal job to get out of this race?” Kane asked near the end of the 30-minute interview.
“Yes,” Sestak answered.
“Was it Navy secretary?” Kane asked.
“No comment,” Sestak replied.
Who should we believe, a congressman who’s not lied to the American people or a president who has (at least) misled?
This is SO Chicago.

Well, I believe Sestak.
You are being very polite to BHO. As far as I’m concerned, his entire campaign was a lie about who he is, and he hasn’t stopped yet.
I read someplace that the job offer is not precisely unethical, but it sure is manipulative. Why deny it if there’s nothing wrong with it?
Hey, it’s The Chicago Way. What did you expect from Barry O and his Band of Merry Crooks?
I’d believe Sestak long before I’d believe ANYthing that comes from Barry’s lying lips.

During his tenure, so many people and entities have been forced to expose their true nature, and they will be judged on who and what they are, less the pretense they have thus far maintained. I would also give him credit for not hiding his true nature.
Assuming we survive this encounter, it is clear that:
Obama is the best thing that could have happened to America.
Now if we can just keep our nation from capsizing and her citizens from drowning, then the lessons learned and the correction achieved, will be well worth the temporary regression we are suffering.
When your enemy is busy making mistakes, do not interrupt him…
“This is SO Chicago.”
Chicago politics at it’s finest..
