The only thing Obama “Loves” about Las Vegas, is that he “Loves” to attack our city and seems like he is trying to kill our town. This man needs a life, and one out of public office.
Man they called Bush an idiot, if you judge an idiot and the measure is Bush, then the left is so far past idiot I don’t even know if there is a word that can describe out stupid they are showing themselves to be. Here is to hoping the american people see it and remember it come november!

Since the Archdiocese is shutting dowm their foster care program, I’m sure the “Same-Sex Marriage Bill” does a tad more than merely allow homosexual couples to adopt.

If she wants to take it on, fine. But maybe she should start with the problem of access to nutritious food. My cousin pointed out that the Whole Foods in DC is located in one of the poorer areas. And in my state, cities have outrageous taxes and politicians with a knee-jerk reaction to businesses like Walmart. I have driven some of my friends out to the suburbs to “big box” grocers like Meijer and Kroger that don’t have a presence in Detroit. It is sad to see people standing at the bus stop with heavy bags of groceries because their other option is whatever expensive (or old) food is carried by the nearby liquor store or gas station.

Not surprising. Martha Coakley said that Catholics shouldn’t work in emergency rooms, since their belief in the sanctity of life conflicts with the belief that any unwanted child should be a dead child. According to some friends who work in the Archdiocese of Detroit, the Catholics have been expecting ultimatums to conform to the “culture of death” or to close their charities.
This DC decision comes in the same week that the local bishop stripped the word “Catholic” out of a medical center in Bend, OR. To add insult to injury, the Catholics operate a lot of medical centers in poor areas, so if the ultimatums force them to close their doors, the leftwingers will label them as rightwing haters who don’t care about the poor.

I really appreciated the quote from Mohamed Charfi, former education minister in Tunisia: “Muslim law is based on three fundamental inequalities: The superiority of men over women, of Muslims over non-Muslims, and of free persons over slaves.” I’m going to memorize it for use whenever I run into nonMuslim who advocates accommodations for Muslim customs/laws.

It’s the newspaper that chose to use the phrase “black up”, since it’s nowhere in the article. Personally, I don’t think there was anything wrong with the choice. If the actor was dark-skinned, he’d have had to wear light make-up and blue contacts, since Dumas had a relatively light complexion and blue eyes. And possibly a latex face prosthetic to make him look old – can you name any elderly black French actor, let alone international star? (And maybe I’m just prejudiced against the French, but every time I think of black entertainers in France, I think of Josephine Baker dancing with bananas around her waist and other “jungle savage” props.)
