This is what happens when racebaiters lead the intentionally ignorant.
NAACP President Benjamin Jealous compared Senate Republicans with the Dixiecrats who 40 years ago blocked civil rights legislation. “If the Senate Republicans want to kind of keep on using tactics … from the last century that were used against black people in this century, against working people, then we’re going to hold them to account,” he said.
Benjamin Todd Jealous (who is barely black himself) is below the most despicable kind of human being.
His intentional revision of history (just to keep his kiss ass relationship with Democrats and job relevant) is one reason why black people will remain the only people in this country who will never know their history, and that is happening for the worst of partisan, self-enriching reasons.

Ancestry aside, the man is dishonest; and that’s what is important.
Oh, come on. One can see that the man has black/sub-Saharan ancestry. But, as Mr Parks says, just barely; to the point that were it not pointed out, it would be easy to miss, as his appearance falls well within the range of having a strictly European ancestry.
What’s in a name…
“Benjamin Todd Jealous (who is barely black himself)…”
ya I was thrown by the photo..looks like a white guy, frankly. Hell, Janeane Garofolo might think he’s TOO white!
“Are you sure he’s really Black? He looks Latino to me..”
exactly
Are you sure he’s really Black? He looks Latino to me, even so he’s an idiot if he believes his own rhetoric!!!
Bob, no matter……….that was funny! What isn’t is revisionist history. Thank you for posting events and bills as they happened.
Maybe some urban pronunciation like J-Louse…?
Good grief, is his name really Jealous?
Yup, the cries from the Industry of Racism and Prejudice are being ratcheted up. It’s as if they are desperate, or something. Do they really believe that amplification of their old tactics will successfully quell dissent? Are there any people, throughout history, who have submitted to the control of others, merely at the drop of a word?
What I find truly hilarious, is their morbid obsession with Sarah Palin. I dare say she is actually more popular as a private citizen, than she was as a public servant. I would not expect anything less from people who submit to mortal gods.
Contrary to their self-proclaimed “best and brightest” status, they are, in fact, quite dim.
