While I dislike Google and their world-domination scheme, Apple isn’t really a hotbed of innovation…at least in the last 10 years…
the iPod is a subpar audio playing device that is way overpriced simply because of the “coolness” factor.
the iPhone is a gizmo which serves no real purpose. It took three generations just to make them on par with actual mobile technology and other than the touchscreen interface, it is, once again, a multipurpose device (which does nothing it does particularly well) that is way overpriced because it’s got “Apple” on it, and thus, it’s “cool”
Don’t even get me started on Mac OS…its been out 10 years…maybe a new OS would be good…one which would have better compatibility with PC apps. You can do anything on PC better than on a Mac…except video and audio editing (GarageBand and Final Cut Pro are great programs, I must admit)
I also fail to see any interest in the iPad. Yeah, ok, it looks like those “PADD”‘s on Star Trek…
but honestly, does anyone want to drag around a pad with a huge screen that stratches by merely looking at it (if its like the iPhone screen…)?
Since Steve Jobs came back to Apple, the company’s been growing, but mostly on fad coming from esthetically-pleasing devices with subpar performance.
