Is THIS How The One “Reaches Out”…?

After more than a year of Democrats shutting Republicans out of policy meetings, public partisan bashing, and blaming everyone else, is THIS how President Obama reaches out to the GOP?

January 29, 2010 — President urges bipartisan efforts saying ‘we have a track record of working together’; addresses taxes, unemployment and health care reform.

If Massachusetts’ unprecedented election of a Republican didn’t happen (ending the Democrats’ Senate super majority), along with the looming Democrat midterm electoral ass whuppin’, would Obama be reaching out at all?

As typical of the left, his notion of “reaching out” leaves much to be desired.

    And that’s puttin’ it mildly.

and I loved how he said “if you have any suggestions…let me know….let me know”

    WHAT?!

Our President is a Fucking lair and most of America won’t wake up!!!!!! SCREAMING……….. okay that felt good.
I’m sorry Bob, I just can’t being myself to watch or even listen to Obama at anytime. I even change FNC when they cover him talking to the Food-network or XM music.
It weighs really heavy on my heart that our first Black President of this great nation is destroying it. Please keep up the great work your doing!

Bob, thank you for posting the entire speech. If we only heard the beginning, it DOES sound like a change of tone for the President. I was amazed that he actually called the US “the greatest nation in the world”.

Of course, at the end it’s the same old song: I represent the majority of independent-minded Americans, and let’s compare the US negatively to other nations of the world. (To the latter: Ok. Let’s compare ourselves to Canada. What did SHE do when her economy started to falter?)

“Opposition was declared before we had a chance to meet and exchange ideas.” It’s almost as if he lives in a world in which Pelosi, Reid and the other hogs didn’t have a closed-door policy while writing Porkulus. As if he never pointed out “I won” to those he perceived as losers.

And so many questions are raised:
How many of those new jobs are in government, Mr. President? After the tax break for adding employees, how are you going to slam small businesses? Do you think that the “modest fee” on banks won’t impact small-time customers and small-shop businesses?

And as an aside, I notice at the beginning that when he mentioned “people in town” he scratched his temple with his middle finger. Is that his “tell”, as they say in cardgames? ;)
