Poll: Fox most trusted name in news

“A generation ago you would have expected Americans to place their trust in the most neutral and unbiased conveyors of news,” said PPP President Dean Debnam in his analysis of the poll. “But the media landscape has really changed, and now they’re turning more toward the outlets that tell them what they want to hear.”

Something tells me that the PPP president just doesn’t get it – people turn to Fox News because there is *less* slant than the other “news” outlets, and much more information from/on BOTH sides of the issue(s). This is something the MSM just doesn’t do. Period. The results show clearly the public is tired of the same old spin that permeates the cable and airwave outlets.

  6. PB-in-AL says:

@Igor, re: FoxNews – You’re right about “less” slant, but they’ve got their own lefties. I’ve noticed that the articles that are written for the Foxnews.com website tend to have a significant leftward tilt, more so than the television shows.

  7. Nicolas says:

“It’s pretty sad when you need a teleprompter to speak to your own people”

or as we previously saw, kids

    Obama, the god that failed
    “Most false ones usually do”

Jon Voight spelled that one out last year

    “Hug a frustrated progressive today”

sounds like a slimy experience..I’ll keep my distance

“He’ll steal fiscal conservative ideals and blame Bush for not already having them in place”

again, I think you’re right on what he’ll BASICALLY be getting at, like you mentioed – “Let me be clear… I won… and I understand the suffering the American people are going through… because of Bush”

    “What’s this “we” shit…?”

that’s just the entire staff of the NY Post, among other liberal publications of opinion, not news

“After months of arrogance, I hope we’re not supposed to feel sympathy”

I’M sure as hell not feeling it

“Easy to say when your not facing a November meat grinder”

that’s right, and since when do Dim-Wah-KKrats, have REAL faith? seriously..

“What happens when you believe your own hype and that you’re cause is more important than the law”

somehow I think it was in reverse here, the law was more important than his cause, and he wanted to uncover it, but sadly his luck ran out

“Ain’t it fun watching the left whine about free speech”

that’s right, especially when they yammer on about Republicans and desecrate noble causes, like the troops

“How about the challenges Germany faces by having them there…”

that’s how it SHOULD have been

Geez, he is still carrying those damned security blankets with him, or are they training wheels?

What did his family and “friends” do to him? It is a wonder that he can maintain his extreme level of self-esteem with so much baggage to carry.

“pretty sad” is an understatement. This guy has no self-confidence. He is either an idealist, with unrealistic goals, or a delusional underachiever, with no noteworthy achievements to support his delusions of grandeur. If it weren’t for his mentors, he would have been lost a long time ago.

  9. Mauser says:

‘I’m Ellie Light,’ California man says: Obama letter writer talks

This is known as a “The jig is up” confession.

Re Fox News, I can NEVER get a video to work on their site.

  10. n.n says:

This came out earlier, but it is, apparently, worth repeating.

Income angst? Not for public employees

an estimated 4.2 million American jobs were liquidated, and unemployment rose to 10 percent. In addition, more than 920,000 “discouraged workers’’ left the labor force entirely, having given up on finding work and therefore not included in official unemployment data.

Meanwhile, millions of Americans who do have jobs have been compelled to work part-time or at reduced wages; many others have not seen a raise in years.

Since December 2007 … federal workers making six-figure salaries – not including overtime and bonuses – “jumped from 14 percent to 19 percent of civil servants during the recession’s first 18 months.’’ … At the Defense Department, for example, the number of civilian workers making $150,000 or more quintupled from 1,868 to 10,100. At the recession’s start, the Transportation Department was paying only one person a salary of $170,000. Eighteen months later, 1,690 employees were drawing paychecks that size.

to add public-sector insult to private-sector injury, data from the Office of Personnel Management show the average federal salary is now roughly $71,000 – about 76 percent higher than the average private salary.

All the while, the federal government has been adding jobs at a 10,000-a-month clip. Between December 2007 and June 2009, federal payrolls exploded by nearly 10 percent.

All those “anti-government” protestors… are crazy!

A showdown is coming, and more likely sooner than later. Taxpayers will put up with a lot, but their patience has its limits.

Hopefully, the disparity can be resolved peacefully; but, if they persist in their unchecked fleecing of America, then the people’s response will certainly restore their humility. The United States of America is not a feudal estate. The people do not serve at the pleasure of lords and their supporters.

Hey, Obama and pals, do you really think your so-called “freeze” will make a difference? Are you that out of touch with reality and your equals among the American citizenry? It would seem that Obama is complicit, or the president is not the most powerful person in the world. He can’t even manage the public servants to whom he is given oversight.

I suppose, in a progressive mental state, change is static, at best, and regressive, at worst.

  11. Nicolas says:

Saw Glenn Beck today..sadly he still thinks Obama is an America, despite the airtight truth..really sucks to know he thinks that way. Not being proving he was an American could’ve been part of Obama’s PLAN all ALONG, so I wish Beck would wake the hell up on this serious, dire matter

  12. Ilion says:

Behar: Tebow Could Have Just as Easily Been ‘Racist Pedophile’

But, wouldn’t we then need to determine whether his rape(s) were really “rape-rapes” or just Hollywood being itself?

  13. Shaitana says:

Ya know, here at UF everyone loves Tebow. And even though this is a very BLUE county, they don’t give a rat’s ass about his religious convictions, in fact it made him more popular. There are alot of religous dems around here (this is the south) and MSM tearing Tebow apart is not going to go over well…
