The following is from a comment in "MSNBC to Massachusets - drop dead".
It's just too good to not re-post it here.

The Democrats have fled!
Obamacare is dead!
They tried to shove it down our throats!
We teabagged them instead!

Edwards in Haiti?

Damage control.

Past Decade Warmest Ever, NASA Data Shows

From http://pielkeclimatesci.wordpress.com/:

Actually global warming, as measured by lower tropospheric temperatures; e.g. see Figure 7 in the RSS MSU data) has been close to zero at least since 2002, and by upper ocean heat content (see) since 2003 (with other data such as Levitus showing since 2005 (see).

Reality Check On Science Magazine’s Claim That 2009 Was The Hottest Year on Record in Southern Hemisphere
...
The Science article perpetuates the focus on an inappropriately narrow assessment of global (and hemispheric) warming. This is misleading policymakers, and, with respect to Science magazine itself, is confirming that it is not presenting a balanced view of climate science.

If CO2 reduction is important, we need to make it clear to people what really matters – getting to zero.

With that kind of clarity, people will understand the need to get to zero and begin to grasp the scope and scale of innovation that is needed.

However all the talk about renewable portfolios, efficiency, and cap and trade tends to obscure the specific things that need to be done.
-- Bill Gates

Fundamentally, it is about good stewardship. The fanatic ravings of environmentalists and other special interests, both in the public and private sectors, do not contribute anything of value to that process, other than to enrich the proponents and elevate their status in society. Their current focus is on CO2, but they disregard other influences, which have a greater effect on our environment, both local and global, including production of so-called "green technology".

It would seem that there are people of integrity, irrespective of their guiding ideology. What's truly funny, is that all people, who are skeptical and objective alike, are being condemned as "deniers".

Morales deplores US ‘occupation’ of Haiti

What would he have us do? Allow the rape and pillage by criminals and gang members to continue unchecked? Is Morales aware that this is a UN sanctioned endeavor? Does it matter?

Hospitals must cut services to stay afloat, watchdog warns

Rationed medical services and death panels? Only people living in la-la land do not comprehend the concept of limited resources and the inherent equitable nature of self-determination.

Oh, and the government employees will probably maintain their salaries and benefits, and receive a bonus and/or raise, much like what happens in America -- their priority is to protect the castle and the occupants within.

‘Whites only’ basketball league announced

I hoped that the pushback would not extend so far, but it should have been expected. There are already exclusively "minority" businesses. So, what is one more? The legacy of liberalism/progressivism continues to rear its ugly head.

And tanks the market

According to the left-wing, that occurred because Brown was elected. This reminds me of a tale, a tale of AGW/AGCC, and special interests, but I'll leave that for another time.

"..."We all pretty much knew for sure we were going to lose Massachusetts,” one person in attendance told POLITICO on Wednesday. “And yet, last night and this morning, we had absolutely no message guidance from the White House, [the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee] or [the Democratic National Committee]. There was no leadership. ... So all of the members today are just opining about what they think it means and whether we should move forward on health care.”

Despite the criticism, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs seemed determined to stay the hands-off course. Gibbs told reporters Thursday that, after Massachusetts, the president wants to let “the dust settle” and look “for the best path forward.”
