Harry Reid’s comments have prompted a warning… to Republicans!
D.C. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton is warning Republicans against trying to make hay out of Harry Reid’s comments about Barack Obama’s skin color and lack of a “Negro dialect.”
The nonvoting member of Congress said Reid’s opponents “will not find a welcome mat in the black community” if they try to seize on his remarks.
Thanks to the white washing of black history by liberal academics, the Democrat Party, and the media, Republicans don’t have a welcome mat in the black community now. Talk about a threat with no teeth….

I think Harry’s comments was saying a lot more about white people than black people. He is a black man that white people would find acceptable enough to vote for.
It is amazing that the democrats can get away with saying things like this. If a republican had said the exact same words, the outrage would reach a very high decibal.
Give her HELL Bob, I’m standing right beside you. It’s time to hold liberals accountable for their actions and statements, because those actions and statements are HATE CRIMES and I’d like to know when liberals will be HELD accountable for those HATE CRIMES!!!!!!!!!!
She just doesn’t want the word getting out anymore. I mean, the black folk (present company excepted) are firmly in the pocket of the dem party…how the hell could it hurt the repubs anymore to let people know exactly what the dems think? Eleanor can go get her pat on the head for being a good little house slave now.
You mean calling Clarence Thomas “an Uncle Tom” for having conservative ideas was BEFORE the welcome mat was pulled?
The conservative crowd, of every color, are raising their voices.
The B&R Midnight Matinee
They will not be denied.
wow..another “warning”…holy crap Bob, I didn’t imagine I’d see a warning so damn soon by DemoKKKrats to of all people…Republicans. Just like you mentioned in your “Just Us” department spot, “..the left always has excuse, followed by warnings, if you don’t let it go”
holy crap does that ring true here
I am offended by this woman’s remarks. Harry Reid insulted ME and I expect an apology from HIM. I don’t need some racist telling me that I have to be insulted by another racist.
Read this article yesterday on your facebook post then saw it posted on BigGov today…congrats Bob
on their link, I felt like a proud mom who wants every one with a brain to see your posts!!!!
I write for the conservative blog Jumping in Pools and I was wondering if you’d like to do a link exchange. I don’t like asking in comments, but I found to way to email you. Anyway, if you’re interested, my email is in my profile; just send me a message. Thanks.
Shut up, Eleanor!! Windbag.
Leave it up to her and our older generation of blacks – those mostly born in the 30s, 40s, & 50s – to make a mockery out of “respect your elders”.
Like hell. Damn what I was taught. Was also taught HOW to think, not what to think.
I’m suppose to respect those Congressional Black Caucus-types? Minus Reps. Gary Franks – CT & J.C. Watts – OK, of course, from back in the 90s….but I digress.
Speaking of which……black democrats have the gall to refer to us conservative types as “sellouts”?
Yeah? Who are the House N—–s now?!! In fact, who’s Harry and Nancy House Negro Boy, now?!!
“SIGN MY SENATE HEALTH CARE BILL!! You light skinneded, non-negro dialect havin’ n……….wait. I can’t call him a n—-, can I? Not even with the “a” on the end?”
“Hell. And I thought it was a term of endearment in da hood.”
No, Harry. Racist bastard.
Syble,
I really don’t get how what Reid said is a racist insult.
Taking offense at the double-standard that the race-hustling Dems employ, I can understand; for had a Republic said the exact same thing, the Dems would be calling for not just his blood, but the blood of all GOP members.
Taking offense at what Clinton is said to have said to Kennedy (“A few years ago, he [Obama, The Won] would have been getting us coffee.“), I certainly can understand.
But taking offense at what Reid said makes little sense to me.
Furthermore, part of it is objectively true (the but about Obama having a “Negro dialect” only when he wants to), and part of it matches the “liberal” fantasy about white Americans (that we’re all racial bigots, except for themselves, of course) — that last part is an insult of all white Americans. But who is talking about that?
