Jets End Colts Undefeated Season 29-15, Manning Benched
I never thought I’d ever say it, but… J-E-T-S, Jets Jets Jets!

These players are pros for a reason.

After near seven years without car payments, we had to bite the bullet.
Special thanks to Sherman at Brook’s Manassas Hyundai for hooking us up.

Congrats on the newest addition to the Parks family.

Bob, nice wheels :) . Be safe out there!

  3. Bob says:

It was kinda sad taking things out of the old minivan and putting it into the new car. Okay, we’ll let it go.

  4. IT Nerd says:

You may have a monthly car payment but with it comes piece of mind the mini van couldn’t provide.

  5. JP Kalishek says:

as a German friend of mine said once ” Ist Korean Porsche” (said with a heavy accent)
I have little experience with the newer ones, but the old ones were tough cars. They are supposed to better put together now-a-days and damned good deals for the money.

  6. The Machine says:

    Beltway-ready!

    congrats

  7. n.n says:

    Use it in good health.

  8. Nicolas says:

oh also, what color was it?

  9. Bob says:

    Black, like the picture.

  10. carolinagirl says:

congrats on the safe ride Bob, we went 11 years w/out a car payment then BOTH cars bit the dust it was not pretty – they should be paid off in 2011 … or sooner if I ever decide to buy that winning lottery ticket … or any lottery ticket …

  11. Mauser says:

    It’s not a stupidity tax, it’s a license to dream…. *grin*

Figures the Government would go about issuing licenses for that.

  12. Mauser says:

Oh, you know, that headline widget has issues when the headline is too long.

  13. onewiseguy says:

Come on Bob….you know full well that the Colts’ coach gave that game to the Jets the moment he took out Manning….their spot in the playoffs was already clinched and he cared more about saving his star for the really important remaining games than the perfect season record. If Manning had stayed in the game the Colts would have beaten the Jets.

  14. Bob says:

Correct, but I laugh at all the Colt fan whining. They do this every year they wrap up berths early.

Unlike the 16-0 Patriots that accepted the invitation to war on the last day of the season against the Giants. Both teams were in the playoffs and still played starters to the end.

  15. MEmanuel says:

As an Indianapolis resident, Colts fan, and part owner of Lucas Oil stadium through my tax dollars to the city, I’m pissed that Caldwell benched the starters. Especially when Manning himself was arguing with the coaching staff to put everyone back in because he wanted to WIN!!

The Colts were never 14-0 staring at the lowly Jets and the horrible Buffalo Bills as their last two opponents on the way to what would have been a perfect regular season. The “Resting our players” line is bullshit because anyone could have broken a leg in the locker room or on the coin toss, or the three quarters of the game that the starters did play in.

The coaching staff cheated the players and the fans plainly and simply, and if we don’t win the Super Bowl the benching was a shitty call. Even though they lost the Super Bowl to the Giants, you still can’t take away the single greatest regular season in NFL history from the Pats.

  16. onewiseguy says:

MEManuel, I personally agree with you. I was none too pleased with the coach’s decision….smells of chickenshit logic to me. You should play every game to WIN…that is what competition is about. It’s also difficult to portray a winning mentality when you conveniently sacrifice a non-important game.

  17. MEmanuel says:

Absolute chickenshit logic wiseguy… if you’re truly wanting to protect and rest your players, they play several first quarter snaps and then sit.

Bob, good decision on the car. I drive my wife’s ’01 Elantra and its got 90,000 miles on it.

  18. Hoss says:

Let Bob enjoy his schadenfraude, the Patriots are starting to circle the drain without their ability to cheat. How’d that 16-0 season turn out for the Pats by the way.

  19. Bob says:

    Hoss…
The “cheat” thing is so old, but I’ll ask you the same thing I ask every Belichick basher: If Pats owner Robert Kraft fired Bill Belichick after Spygate broke (and he was suddenly available), you’re telling me you wouldn’t want him…?
