This just in… Some of you may remember my passing on a message about Operation Cookie Drop.

Mission accomplished!

Ladies and Gentleman,

Merry Christmas!

Once again THANK EVERYONE for EVERYTHING they did to insure this one Marine Unit was remembered for the Holidays.

Here is a brief note from Capt Gorman, the Unit Commander,

We received another large shipment of boxes, and they were well received by all the Marines and sailors. I believe that was the complete set although there may be a few more coming, all of the Marines have received boxes. I can’t tell you how helpful it is to not have to worry about care items or simple reminders from home while we are busy working over here. The Marines absolutely love the care packages. They had items that they wanted and needed. It has definitely helped the motivation and helped keep them focused without worrying about getting gear to sustain them through the winter months. Again, please pass on our thanks to all those selfless supporters who gave up time and money to make the Marines and Sailors a little more comfortable.

Also attached is the photo of members of Easy Company receiving the last of the 203 boxes that went out! And the third attachment is the initial note from the Capt. and photos of the 75 citizens that helped in this endeavor.

According to the Civilian liaison, they were “overjoyed” at receiving this shipment, (In way Marines won’t say) As you can see by the photograph they are no where near anything remotely of a “Back Home” environment we are used to.

Thanks again, our 5th Annual Operation Cookie Drop, was another complete success, and is “in the Books”…. We are getting ready for our next, which will be Christmas in July !!
