The B&R Tuesday Matinee

The Prisoner was a very quirky show, which as a child I watched but was not yet equipped to fully understand and/or appreciate.
AMC has offered up a new remake miniseries. For those of you who watched the original (and for you youngins who never saw it but would like a better frame of reference), click on the pic above to view a pretty informative documentary on the original series.

I watched the ORIGINAL in England during the 60’s – and then watched the travesty that was on Cable.
Comapring the two was like comparing Obama and Bush. Only thing that was the same was the title…
Sorry, I thought the remake sucked.

I started to watch the remake and moved on after 20 minutes or so.

GMTA, Bob. Only I lasted for 15 minutes – your stomach must be stronger…
Oh, I *did* fast forward through some of it (hooray for DVR!) , but it still was drivel no matter where I stopped. Patrick McGoohan will never be mimicked, IMHO.

It seems that the networks and hollyweed are the prisoners now.
Prisoners of their own device, no less.
One thing about the left — the lack of creativity abounds and is sometimes stunning in and of itself.

I agree Bob, the remake sucked after about 15 minutes of it. The Original was a never miss for me. So was Star Trek.
