Excellent job of calling it what it is, slime. I want to tell you about a dump in Suffolk County NY where my brother-in-law lives, that has separate 20 plus foot deep cement basins for each type of trash. (which used to have parked below, cargo containers into which you threw your separated cans, plastics, garbage etc and which tractor trailers would then hitch up to and presumably move to separate areas of the dump yard, or off to recycle plants) Last summer, the containers were strangely gone, but we were still expected to throw the different separated items into those big open pits (somewhat like tossing onto a very deep basement floor) The dump had opened a new position that year (stimulus is working-woohoo) who once these were full would use a front end loader to move the trash (presumably no longer separated after the trash had mingled in its decent, or through the mixing that would have to happen with the loader) What a sham, they make the consumer go to the trouble of sorting your stuff (they even check your bins and bags randomly) then in the cover of dark, they move it all to the same place! I have first hand knowledge of this behavior here, but have heard it happens all over the country. Bravo Bob! Excellent job of calling it what it is, slime.
