Boneheads Of The Day
There is actually a blog posting at whitehouse.gov entitled, “Transparency like you’ve never seen before”. One would assume you’d have to live by that motto or look the total fool.
Here’s yet another example of The White House and friends looking the fool…
Just hours after Sen. Charles Grassley and Rep. Darrell Issa released a report Friday on their investigation into the abrupt firing of AmeriCorps inspector general Gerald Walpin, the Obama White House gave the lawmakers a trove of new, previously-withheld documents on the affair.
After initially explaining that President Obama no longer had the “fullest confidence” in Walpin, the White House later changed its story to say that Walpin, who was 77 years old at the time, had become “confused, disoriented [and] unable to answer questions” at the May 20 meeting. Later, the White House cited other “performance-based” issues. But Republican investigators concluded that the key motive behind the firing was unhappiness with Walpin’s aggressive investigation of misuse of AmeriCorps funds by Kevin Johnson, the mayor of Sacramento, California who is a prominent political ally of President Obama.
Let’s not forget that Mayor Johnson has some additional explaining to do of his own.
One of three girls who accused Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson of inappropriately touching her while she attended his St. Hope’s Academy Hood Corps program was allegedly offered $1,000 a month to keep quiet, according to a Congressional report made public Friday.
This has all the warning signs of politicians behaving badly, canning the person who’s tasked at getting to the bottom of the shenanigans, and then the (normally futile) attempt at a cover up.
Transparency? Nice try.
Oh, and is there a reason the media isn’t all over this…?

And the good new?
Karma has the uncanny ability to come back and bit one in the arse at the least opportune time.
I see and welcome lots and lots of karma coming soon to the Obama Administration. And lots and lots of schadenfreude very soon after…

hard to say IF the lamestream media will pick up the americorps story, I’m just happy though that my local media, channels 3, 10, and 13 covered the Kevin Johnson story. if his policies don’t do anything for Sacramento, he definitely will be a one term mayor
