Pardon if I offend some sensibilites, but as I type this the word “Dumbass” keeps coming to mind in reference to this. I’m not sure why….well, actually I do.

@Syble – “…they should all move to Cuba.” I’ve voiced the same sentiment, but I’ve come to realize that this doesn’t have anything to do with ideology, as much as that ideology is able to elicit control over others. Sure they could go to Cuba, or wherever, but that wouldn’t serve their purpose. There they would be just another schmuck under Castro’s thumb. THEY want to be the big cheese. They want to be the “elite” ruling class. They don’t really care what ideology gets them there; socialism is just the current most convenient. It’s the same reason that these very people are kowtowing to islam: the islamists are the strongarms that generate the “crisis” to exploit.

I really think that if O thought he could get away with declaring himself emperor, a la Napoleon, he would. I don’t think he’d end up in exile, however. The scary thing is that there are people who would line up to crown him.

President Barack Obama recently told ABC News’ Jake Tapper that he shares Pelosi’s belief that jail time is an appropriate punishment for not buying health insurance. Obama did not always believe this. Debating Hillary Clinton in 2008, Obama said:

And I think that it is important for us to recognize that if, in fact, you are going to mandate the purchase of insurance and it’s not affordable, then there’s going to have to be some enforcement mechanism that the government uses. And they may charge people who already don’t have health care fines, or have to take it out of their paychecks. And that, I don’t think, is helping those without health insurance.

Wasn’t it Pelosi who said “that she was OK with that”?
